I hope he's in a Starwood hotel somewhere far far away and being treated like royalty. He deserves it.

Tone deaf much? I'm going to assume this means no one at Marriott has read through the pages and pages of problems that many of us are having, let alone planning to respond to recognize our issues and give us any update on when they will be fixed. Sigh, SPG was so much better than this. Frankly, I thought Marriott would be better than this too...
Hello ehud, if there is anything we could help you please send us an email.

According to the email sent a few hours ago, everything is fine and dandy and you can apparently merge your account. No acknowledgement of the issues discussed here, let alone any hint of an apology.

Things seem stable now. Still two widespread incorrect numbers: YTD nights and Lifetime nights in my (and many others) migrated SPG account.
All I want, lurkers, is a clear communication that Marriott knows about specific issues and is working on fixing them. Otherwise I'm left to think what? I continue to hold off phoning, merging accounts, making more reservations, basically any activity with Marriott until I get the all clear.

Can you merge? You might lose one of the account info. Everyone has had a hard time getting it work properly. I still cant. My spg only shows marriott stuff. This whole merger is a fail. So if I were you, I would wait. Wait till everything calms down and Marriott IT can catch up.

I got that email too. It's the first email I've had from either SPG or MR since this migration debacle started.

And to the previous poster who mentioned complaining to the hotel you stay at regularly, they proactively reached out to me, apologized for the issues, and offered some points for my loyalty. Didn’t see any reason to hold it against them - they were legacy Starwood and had no say in the merger and have continued to treat me very well.

I've had no stays post since 18/08.
I also haven't had any miles post from my SPG credit card either this month (UAE NBD Mastercard). Wonderful.

Can anyone who could access their previous Starwood stays while logged into the SPG account after the program merge confirm that after they combined accounts, using the SPG number as the keeper, they can still see all their Starwood stays for this year?
Customer service staff are all pushing hard to combine accounts, but as my SPG account lists all stays and points, but not correct nights credit up to 25 Jul (14 short), I'm not keen to combine unless I am sure that I can still see, and Marriott staff can see, my actual YTD SPG stays so they can all be credited at some point.
Thanks in advance.

I quit. 64 nights YTD but none in the past month. Waiting until things calm down before I consider (1) coming back and (2) whether it's worth getting the additional 11 nights I need to hit 75.

Great, the merger is done and I have an account without adress etc. in it. Everythink is gone... The new account number is not the new spg number but the linked marriott number and I am lifetime platinum because of the 600 + x nights and 10 year platinum while beeing member since 2017...
I am with stupids... And yes, s*h*i*t happens, but...
