A lot has happened over the past few days, and we truly appreciate your patience. There are still a few known issues we’re working to resolve including:
We hope you enjoy all that one powerful program has to offer.

- For members whose accounts are still displaying incorrect Elite status, this issue should be corrected later today (August 21st).
- For members whose accounts are still displaying incorrect Lifetime Elite status, we expect this issue to be resolved over the next week. However, while Lifetime Elite status may be displaying incorrectly, members’ current Elite status and benefits should be correct. As a reminder, SPG members who qualify for Lifetime Platinum Premier in 2018 will receive notice of their achievement in January 2019.
We hope you enjoy all that one powerful program has to offer.
Kind regards,

It is widely posted on this forum and on others that many members' YTD night count is wrong (mine is down by 14, which drops me from PPE with Ambassador to PPE) and that lifetime night count is wrong. Please let us know that Marriott is aware of this issue and is working on it, rather than the previously posted suggestion that we all send an email to Marriott.
Thanks in advance.

Finally my Starwood account is showing it's points balance, but like many people I am missing nights. It says I'm on 36 for the year. Should be 43. I just went through my activity for the year and that still adds up to 43, so there's no stays missing from the account, it just seems Marriott's IT can't do very simple maths in adding the total together.
Just wondering, everyone else with the wrong YTD night count, are there stays missing from your activity? Or like me is it just that Marriott can't count?

I believe my YTD count is wrong because of a missing two-night stay from the end of July. It was there under SPG but disappeared on 18th.
Only two outstanding issues for me now: YTD is missing one stay and lifetime nights is actual total + YTD. Otherwise, lifetime status (Gold) is now correctly showing.

I still have the incorrect YTD night count. The points tripling happened correctly but my YTD and Lifetime nights are incorrect.

It's sad the Lurkers aren't responding here. Hopefully that's just due to the fact they are busy rather than a mandate from up top.

OK, So we wait.
I am/was SPG Lifetime Gold, and should now be 'Lifetime Gold Elite', but it say that I am only lifetime silver. I am still 'Platinum Elite' for this year, which is something. I have several stays coming up and it would be nice, you know, if everything 'just worked'.
Marriott assured us that SPG lifetime status would carry over, SPG Lifetime Gold => new Marriott 'Lifetime Gold Elite'. What gives? I emailed Marriott support two days ago, but no response.
I agree with the consensus here that website is less useful tan the old SPG site. The 'grid' view in particular, to compare rates and properties.

My SPG account is a total mess...
Not showing my 16 upcoming reservations.("We’re temporarily unable to display the information you requested"..)
YTD nights are wrong
Not showing any of my recent stays in Aug.
Did not receive any points for my 5-6 stays in Aug so far,
At least showing now (it wasn't yesterday) my LT PLT status..

Total mess for me too.
Tried logging into both accounts to link them. Error message via both channels. What’s the point in officially announcing "All together now” (reminds me of the song by The Farm) when it doesn’t work.
My points seem to be correct x 3 from SPG but the nights only show 31 when it should be 38. Either the nights from the last 2 stays a few week’s ago are not showing but the points are OR they have excluded additional nights earned in the DOUBLE STAY / NIGHTS promotion. I thought these would count for SPG legacy brands towards new Platinum Elite (50 nights) and so on?
Also I noticed that on the Marriott website it says I’m Platinum Elite but that if i qualify for Platinum Premier Elite then I’ll get lounge access and free breakfast as an additional benefit when I’m already getting it as Platinum Elite! Confusing!

BTW, while my nights did combine correctly, they combined a correct MR number and an incorrect SPG one (for SPG, added in ~40 nights, my 2018 total to date, to my SPG lifetime, so they are double counted). So my LT number should drop by ~40 at some point (doesn't affect me at all, I will be LTPP).

I was able to merge my accounts last night from the Marriott side. Prior to merging, each site had LT total nights per program. After merging, Marriott site has correct LT totals of 991 nights and 19 years as Plat (15 SPG and 4 MR), This morning, all my SPG reservations showed up in my MR account. My SPG mobile log in now transfer my account to MR account showing the MR account number. I think this means my new SPG account number is no longer any good. I did not check total nights YTD since my primary focus is Hyatt this year, so it's irrelevant if I don't reach 50 nights in 2018.
I selected to merge account through MR because that number starts with 036, whereas the new SPG number starts with 177. I wanted a number reflecting longevity of account.
The final item is for status to change from LT Platinum Elite to LT Platinum Premier Elite come Jan. 2019. That means I'll be missing extra 25% bonus points from now until new LT status from combined accounts.
Waiting to merge saved me some of the aggravations others are encountered.
I like the mobile app showing LT
Nights 991
Years as Silver, Gold or Platinum 39
Years as Gold or Platinum 23
Years as Platinum 19
