How does he do that when there is no folio? presuming you meant the receipt from the restaurant.

In any case, I've sent the E-mail ... we'll see how it goes.

I can understand that trying to claim the point using the missing points form itself might not work.

In the past, the Starwood research team has been able to create a dummy stay as the hotel should have in the first place to cover this.

Yes, you may attach the receipt from the restaurant to the email.

So, an update. Last week, I'd sent along my scanned copy of my receipt to the E-mail address that @Starwood Lurker IV referred to above. I got a reply- from SL William no less- in about two hours crediting me with my dining points (and yeah, I got both the 10pts/$ MR standard and the 75% Tit bonus as well on a ~$216 dinner bill). Problem solved!

But a few hours after that, I'd gotten a reply from the "regular" MR "Stay Add Request" account (the 2nd attempt after they said they couldn't read the "bill" which was really my scanned copy) and while pre-merger I never really had to use the Missing Stay services (as my points and nights always just posted), this is the sad state of affairs post-merger. Here's my original E-mail:
I am trying to reclaim points I never received for an SPG restaurant meal. I'd attached the copy (which I'm glad I've kept!) of the receipt I got from The Urban Farmer Restaurant inside The Nines Hotel in Portland, OR on November 14th, 2018. I did not stay at that hotel, I only ate there. I've re-attached that receipt to this E-mail as well.
... you'd think everything they'd needed to know (esp. since I'd included the teal copy from The Nines as an attachment), no? Well, this is the reply I'd gotten back from them:
Thank you for your reply. I appreciate to help and process your request. Hope this email will finds you well. Kindly help me with the stay dates and full hotel name you stayed at. For further information and assistance, feel free to contact us. Thank you for contacting Marriott.

If you had received that email unsolicited you would have thought it SPAM due to the improper grammar.

Seriously- "kindly" is SPAM's go-to word.

IT COULD BE WORSE! I got a letter from my health insurance telling me my doctor is no longer in network because he DIED! But then goes on to say if I was in the middle of treatment he may be willing to continue seeing me. Ummm, no, that's an office call I don't wish to make.

I guess we should be appreciative they actually have a staffed position called Customer Service, but shouldn't expect much from them. Sad state of affairs in my book.

Now this is my situation. I have been staying at Courtyard Marriott's to take full advantage of the Courtyard's that are offering 2,000 bonus points packages.

Most of these courtyards are only $149-$179 with the 2,000 point bonus point packages

So say the hotel is $180 dollars. If I spend $20 in the market as a Ambassador do I get any points for that.....if I do how many points would i get for that?

Also would spending money in the market go toward my Ambassador spend of 20,000?

It should count as "incidentals" so you'd get 10x plus elite along with the room rate; this took effect last August.

Marriott is continuing the former Starwood practice of non-guest dining credit at former SPG brands ONLY! If you have a tab at one of those property's bar/restaurant greater than USD $10, and are not a registered guest, you are entitled to 10x BONVOY points plus elite.

You may also be entitled to a discount on the bill - ask the server (manager).
