As per Marriott booking website Son Antem rejoins as member of Autograph Collection this June. Limited number of photos make hotel appear renovated.
Would be interested to hear more about location, pool etc (sorry if this should be placed in another topic). |
Any updates on the Le Meridien in Hualien, Taiwan?

FYI, all 22 remaining Marriott properties in Russia (from every brand) seem to be unbookable beyond July 4. Each one has a message on its web page at marriott.com to contact the hotel directly for reservations after that date.

We have just returned from the MVC Son Antem resort (one of our home resorts and a firm favourite).
The hotel was managed by MI originally and is making a very welcome return to the fold this year, as you say under the Autograph brand. It has been undergoing a major refurbishment and they have been targeting a soft opening from 15th July. The co-located MVC/MI resort is in a well landscaped rural location, 15 minutes East of Palma airport, set on 2x 18 hole golf courses and will offer plenty of facilities. |

5 new Marriott hotels in and around Amsterdam
Most interesting is probably the college hotel Amsterdam, which will be marked as a Tribute portfolio. The other hotels are more remote (=outside of the city) and focusing on guests from Schiphol airport.

In downtown Minneapolis, Chambers (former LM with contemporary art and an art gallery and sometimes an ice bar in the winter) was closed during COVID-19. I learned today that it's been operating as an independent hotel (IIRC 62 rooms and suites in two joined historic buildings) since late 2021.

My guess is the next two to come are the new Courtyards: Courtyard by Marriott Bangkok Sukhumvit Soi 20 Courtyard by Marriott Bangkok Sukhumvit Soi 20 North Before I guessed it was a typo and there are not really 2 new Courtyards opening in the same street, but maybe not. Add this to the Four Points one street away, just meters from the Marriott Marquis Queen's Park and a new JW just a few minutes walk away on Sukhumvit and you'll have a Marriott Quarter soon. |
