There's going to be a Westin called the Westin Raleigh-Durham Airport. It's going to be in the Brier Creek shopping center south of US 70 and west of I-540. It's a strange place for a full service hotel and an even stranger (to me at least) choice for where to put the Triangle's first Westin.

The Crowne Plaza Orlando Universal Boulevard will rebrand as a Tribute Portfolio property later this year using the name Hotel Kinetic.

Agreed. Nice to have a better option around the RDU airport (the Sheraton is terrible, Marriott okay) but downtown Durham and Raleigh could use something like this too.

Really wish there were better options downtown Santa Barbara. It's one of two cities where I avoid Marriott properties - the other being the SeaTac area. A new Courtyard in downtown Santa Barbara is opening in January but much better Hilton and independent options.
