I can't find any further information but it seems that in March 2024 Renaissance Orlando Resort and Spa will take over the current B Resort by Disney Springs

Blue Palace Elounda, a Luxury Collection Resort, Crete has left Marriott and will become a Rosewood when it reopens in 2025 (https://onemileatatime.com/news/rose...e-palace-crete).

Do you know any more details? I'm confused about how one hotel would take over another hotel that's about 3 miles away, they're not adjacent.

On another note: the old Sheraton Jagdhof Fuschlsee near Salzburg (currently called Arabella Jagdhof and not part of Marriott) will rebrand to Tribute Portfolio in the coming weeks. The Arabella Resort in Spitzingsee (an hour outside Munich in the Bavarian mountains) will also adopt the Tribute Portfolio soft brand.

I think the Spitzingsee hotel used to be a Sheraton as well - certainly was when I stayed there 12 years ago.

Quite simply: the existing B Resort will rebrand to the Renaissance brand. There will be two Renaissance properties in Lake Buena Vista, the existing one next to Sea World and the new one next to Disney Springs.
The way it was worded it sounded like the B Resort was going to become a part of the Renaissance Orlando Hotel, operating as one property, with two wings 3 miles apart. The Renaissance Orlando is actually in Orlando proper, it's not in Lake Buena Vista, which is the town directly adjacent to the Disney theme parks, containing a number of Disney hotels. |
Looks like the Goodtime Hotel in Miami Beach is joining the tribute portfolio. Can't find an announcement but it's displayed on the Marriott site
Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere |
