Well, construction is amost complete so Vail Residence Inn Plans September Opening.

a new build Marriott in Khao Lak, Thailand is opening in the next few months. one of the very nice staff at Le Meridien Khao Lak had told me.

location is approximately 10 km north of Le Meridien Khao Lak, quite close to the Pullman Khao Lak.

I drove by the construction site to see how it goes. I think it will be ready in early 2024.

Two new options in Germany (reflags). Soon to be added to the Courtyard Portfolio, now still trading a independent hotels:

Both seem to have been part of the NH Hotels Portfolio, when checking the photos.

Moxy opening in Banff, says October 2023 but not bookable yet.

For Thailand, the Moxy in Bangkok (opening Nov 2023) and Khao Lak Marriott mentioned a few days ago are now in the system. Not bookable yet.

Stayed here pre-covid. It was dark and dingy back then. I couldn't imagine it getting any better during 2020 and beyond. I assume it was one of the Phoenix South Valley hotels that live for Spring Training with $400 a night for two months.

I wish there were more mid-market hotel options for Bonvoy in South Valley. I have better luck with Hilton HHonors in the area.

According to a few points on this website, it seems the building initially announced as Wyndham Grand Riyadh within the King Abdullah Financial District will instead open as W Riyadh. Based on the renderings and the first hotels in the district [IHG's Kimpton and Regent] coming online next year and Saudi Arabia's splashy hotel announcements, I would imagine this one won't be far behind.

Actually, all 6 properties announced there arrived in MARSHA, all under September opening, but completely empty calendars.

Interestingly, there was another Sheraton Phu Quoc Resort https://www.marriott.com/hotels/trav...u-quoc-resort/ that was said to open Jan 2024, but that has completely disappeared now, maybe they didn't want 2 Sheratons on Phu Quoc? Has anybody heard anything?

In Thailand, the Le Méridien Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort is now in the system, bookable from October 1.
Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong is now set to open in March.
Courtyard Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport is bookable from December 1.
