Conrad New York Midtown will be rebranded as

The Luxury Collection Hotel Manhattan Midtown

Looks like the switch happens on June 5, according to the Hilton website.

Name reminds me of when ITT Sheraton took over a bunch of old Ritz Carltons in DC, NY, Houston and Aspen in the 90s.

For a year or more, they had no names, they were just generically called "ITT Sheraton Luxury Collection Hotel."

I really liked their all-suite setup back in the day. I understand that they broke up some suites as a Conrad to make smaller rooms.

I haven't stayed there since the renovation, so it would be pretty sad if that's the case. I really enjoyed the handful of stays I had here, so I'm lookin forward to coming back here again, particularly since it has been one of our preferred corporate hotels for a while now.

The Fairfield Inn by Marriott Dubuque (Iowa) ends its Marriott affiliation after June 12, 2024 and will reportedly continue as an independent property.

The remaining Marriott option in the market is the TownePlace Suites downtown.

Hawaii news is abuzz about the Turtle Bay resort on Oahu’s north shore reflagging as a Ritz. This is a big deal

I drove past the Residence Inn Beverly Hills last night and noticed that it’s now the Burton House, a Tribute Portfolio hotel. The change must have happened in the last few days.

For the LC Manhattan Midtown, less than 10% of the inventory are the deluxe queen and deluxe king rooms - all the other rooms are true suites 550 sq ft or larger.

Apparently, the Courtyard Culture Village in Dubai has closed. Too bad as I often used it before 1 am flight back to Europe. Anyone with more insight about the closure?
