No, it's quick and easy. I have no problem with any of the major resellers.

There's always a risk that your retail GC's can become less desirable while you're waiting for them to arrive or holding them. Just recall the eBay debacle last year. It's also possible for a retailer to go out of business right after a giant sale of their discounted GC's.
Experiences with GC exchanges/resellers are discussed in this thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/manuf...exchanges.html

You can avoid this by purchasing through reputable venders. I don't see PPDG going out of business anytime so that's a pretty safe route. Also you can lock in pricing through bulk buyers so you know the rate you're getting before you make the purchase.

In this context, "retailers" would mean the primary issuers. PPDG, GiftCard Mall and similar vendors are secondary sources or "resellers". Dealing with them involves a number of risks besides going out of business.

Nice email for CitiBank ATTAM cardholders today. Anyone else get the bad news? :(

GCM 1X will completely change the speed of my TYP accumulation. I may switch to chase Ink to collect more UR points since it's more valuable, or AMEX blue business for 2X MR.

Yes, bad news for sure. Discover has a 3% card for one year, but only works at gc com.

I tried using 5 accounts on gcm.com, but the orders were canceled, so I am just sticking to our 2 accounts. TCB always takes 2 days to track and 8 weeks to pay out at 2% with custom orders.

Huge blow. I was basically minting TYP at little to no cost with GCM.

A couple of weeks ago I filed the missing TCB claims for the mid-May transactions that didn't auto-track, still showing "Waiting for Merchant" status. How's everyone else's progress going with these? How long do missing claims typically take with TCB and GCM?

Got the notification that they are pursuing the claim with the merchant, but no updates since.

I also have one that's stuck with the "waiting for merchant" status for ~1 month.
Once I had a tracking error with an order from Lowes store. It took 6 months, but the CB was eventually paid.

Anyone else see this note now on the checkout page? Is it standard. I should be clear of the 30 days today.

Individuals can purchase up to $15,000 in Visa Gift Cards in any 30 days. Corporate customers are welcome to visit us at OmniCard - www.omnicard.com

It only appears when your current order exceeds the limit. I would count again, and wait for a day or two.

If you don't have a spreadsheet that you keep track of orders, go to https://www.giftcardmall.com/account.../order-history and see all your recent orders, should be able to figure out the math from there as far as $15K in last 30 days.

I also use a spreadsheet to keep track of recent orders, to make sure that: I received the orders; cashback tracked; I don't exceed the $15K limit.
