As a quick data point, I was able to use my Barclay Arrival to schedule a payment for one of my student loans (Firstmark Services).

Next up is paying property taxes for the house in Rhode Island...and Plastiq has a better rate than the town (2.75% compared to 2.5%)

I bought some Five back visa gift card at officemax today and tried to use it to Plastiq and the transaction is declined.

I called Five back visa gift customer service and it looks like it's some generic issue. it looks like Five back visa gift blocked plastiq for some reason.

Did anyone else run into the same issue?

I had the same problem over the past few days with standard VGCs purchased during the recent Staples and OM/OD deals. After some back and forth with Plastiq and GCM, I got this email from Plastiq this afternoon. With a few grand in VGCs in low denominations and no nearby Wally World, I have to say this is a concern for me.

Hello there,

We have taken a look at your payment and see that Metabank is rejecting our payments as they are flagging them as not an acceptable category. This means that they have taken a stand to not accept Plastiq payments. We will be reaching out to them to see why they have taken this aggressive stance since we do allow credit, debit, prepaid, and gift cards in our system so you can pay all your life bills with us.

I am not sure how long this will take to get resolved but in the meantime, I would recommend that you a different card that is not from them since it only this one card issuer that is not accepting Plastiq payments.

Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions!

I haven't started, but this was my plan too. Plastiq isn't considered a legitimate purchase using a PPBDC, and risks PayPal shutting you down?

Everything you do risks PayPal freezing your funds. I avoid PayPal as much as I can.

Processes 4/3
Did not process - Actually processed after asking about it 4/4
Claimed Delivery 4/12
Check arrived 4/11 - I know the person it was going to
Not bad. Still watching the Wells Fargo payment. The other was for services and I knew where it was going.

I just submitted mine for payment. Is yours going to a firm or a singular person?

I'm using the Chase United Visa Select card.

This makes it 19 business days for my first Plastiq payment being sent and it STILL hasn't posted to the account. I'm giving up hope on that one...

I made a second payment for GMFinancial for my lease and there was a 14 day window between making the payment and when the lease is due. I'll be watching that like a hawk and already have a ACH payment setup the day before the lease is due just in case Plastiq fails a second time...

Does anyone know if Plastiq has been following through on this

"Should you delete the schedule or modify the amount of any/all payments in the schedule, Plastiq reserves the right to retroactively charge you for the first month’s service fee."

I know in the past they had not been, but unsure if I'll be using the same card or even making the same payment amount month after month, and I received this on my account today. Thanks.

I got $800 in fee-free dollars on Plastiq from referring my sister; the FFD were posted on 4/6 and I saw them on my Plastiq app. But when I logged on now, they're gone. I didn't use them. The email notifying me of them said they expired in 90 days. I'm contacting Plastiq now to ask about this. It's not a lot, but it's something.
