Will an Amex branded (Amex HHonors) card categorize these as counting toward minimum spwnd? I know Citi Amex cards were tougher about that, but wasn't sure about actual Amex cards.

I used it for non-co-branded Amex (Platinum and OBC) cards, and it worked.

Anyone ever have any issues using Discover with gift cards dot com? Did one order fine and about to do another but wasn't sure if there was any need to worry about pissing Discover off?

I just received 4 of the cards that I ordered today and noticed that they are issued by Bancorp. There are problems with using Bancorp issued VGCs as debit at WM, but from reading this thread, the cards purchased on giftcards.com work at WM?

Yes

What makes these different? Any clue? I need to place a rather large order and I don't want to be stuck with them.

I stumbled upon GiftCardLab by accident and wonder if their Visa GC's will load to Bluebird. If so they have an amazing deal going on now with free shipping and $2.00 off per card.

I don't have any experience with them, but a quick Google search shows tons of negative reviews. I'd shy away.

I think they were the ones selling pinless cards advertised as debit cards. Things might have changed now since their terms state the cards are issued by MetaBank or Sunrise both of which I believe only sell pin-capable cards?

No clue. All I know is that I've churned a lot of them through WM. Numerous datapoints, but as ever, YMMV.

For the record I ordered one $500 VGC on April 15 from GiftCardLab and the card arrived April 21st. It is pin enabled
and came activated.

I'm off today to WM to see if there are any issues loading it to my Bluebird. I'll report back what I find.

There seems to be some confusion in this thread.

So, up until recently, Giftcards.com was a separate business from GiftCardMall/IncentiveCardLab/GiftCardLab. However, Giftcards.com was bought out by the latter network.

Even though they've been bought out, Giftcards.com still has separate offers and features and agreements with portals. It's common for businesses to have multiple brands with different offerings.

This thread is supposed to be about Giftcards.com. It's just that the name is so similar to the other sites, specifically GiftCardMall, that a lot of people get confused.\

GiftCardMall historically sent out cards that were issued by Metabank. These cards had PINs.

To diseased, the issue is that they also sometimes send Sunrise Bank cards (it's not predictable when they send Sunrise versus Metabank cards). And no, the Sunrise Bank cards didn't have PINs. That's just the way things were.

To atanac, do you mean March 15 and March 21? Or are you referring to 2015?

What month/year can we expect to hear from you?:p

atanac Mar 22, 2016 3:07 pm

Not good news. The Visa card is issued through MetaBank. I couldn't load it at Kate and it failed
twice through customer service. I went to another WM and tried again and another fail. I then made a
purchase to see if the card was even activated and it went through just fine without even asking for a Pin.
Tried cash back but that wouldn't work either. I don't think I've been shut down by AMEX so not sure what
to do now. Is MetaBank the issue? One thing for sure I wouldn't suggest anyone buy these cards if they plan
to use them with Bluebird.
