I went to Vons today. They had a sign. Buy 100.00 or more VGC and get a coupon for $10 off $25.

I bought $500. nothing came out. I used 2 different membership numbers too. Nothing came out. I should have read the sign better, maybe I missed something.

Variable variety are excluded.

Side note: $5 coupon in my weekly safeway ad worked for $200 GC yesterday.

Are you referring to the $5 off purchase over $30 that I loaded to my Safeway card?

No, but that would probably work as well. My ad for the week has a paper $5 off $50 purchase. I snagged a handfull extra after my successful GC purchase

But, the coupon specifically excludes gift cards. Did you only purchase the card, or did you also get groceries?

YMMV depending on cashier. I only bought the VGC and a 6 pack of beer.

Did they just scan your coupon and it worked? Or did they have to manually enter the amount, like seems nearly every Catalina coupon requires for me?

Scanned and worked.

I still think that if the Catalina coupons actually worked right then they would work for these new packaging GC, but as usual they don't work

LOL, the 5 OFF 50 paper coupon should not work on beer either.

I received gas points on a variable card purchase as well. 5 extra gas rewards (50 cents off per gallon).

I bought a $500 variable at Pavilions earlier today, no gas points. It was the older design of Metabank Visa. There was only 1 card with a design (champagne), but I didn't get it because I don't like getting the last of any type of card due to fraud risk.
