Per the terms on the back of your giftcard, no you shouldn't be able to.

Not in Northern California, Oregon, or Washington. They are still cash price/credit price (+.10/gallon). But it isn't a big deal to go buy a Safeway gift card from the fuel cashier with a credit card first then use that to fill up. Seems like a hassle, and I assume that gift card costs them a few cents to produce, plus the labor of the cashier to sell the gift card to me (whereas if I could just use the credit card for the lowest price at the pump I wouldn't waste any of their employee's time). But that is how it goes at Safeway; they are just a hassle to deal with in general.
Also in Denver they did that a while ago where they went to "same price cash or credit" then they went back on it quietly and sneakily to having the .10 credit surcharge again... not sure how that panned out over time.

Couple of basic Safeway questions I was hoping somebody could help answer. Looking for ways to minimize my MS fees as I've only used USPS MOs since VGCs with GW got shut down last week.
1- Do Safeways accept debit (read: VGC debit ;-)) for MO purchases at the locations that offer MOs?
2- What is their MO fee? Any lower than the USPS fees?

Ah, bummer! Part of me wishes I lived in suburbia where I'd have easy access to other grocery stores and WMs. My only grocer options in San Francisco are Safeway and WF . And as far as I can tell, my only MO option is USPS. Really makes MS harder/more expensive

Is the only way to get around the limits by creating more accounts?

some DPs indicated the discount didn't apply to the $500 variable; anyone had similar experience at randall's in tx?

I plan to use my OBC, capped at $50,000, for this deal. Which one works better? $200 VGC or $500 MCGC. Seems to me the yield is higher for the $200 but I might be wrong.
