When given a choice, I ALWAYS get the OneVanilla over the regular Vanilla.

The One Vanilla has raised numbers and doesn't have presents and the word "gift" plastered all over it.

afaik, the $2K limit is programmed to all CVS registers. Cashier is prompted by register to scan DL (or other gov't issued ID). Cashier won't see a prompt for ID scan if amount is less than $300. If you've bought $2K in one store and go to the next, the register will flag cashier once your DL is scanned. You can buy another $2K if you come back after 24 hrs, no less.

What I'm not sure of is if anyone presents different IDs like a DL in one store and passport in another if register will not recognize it's the same person.

And of course, that doesn't get to other forms of valid ID out there (e.g. various DOD or military IDs), not to mention if someone has two valid-at-the-time DLs (i.e. someone who recently moved states).

Interesting. I'm thinking about ordering a passport card and trying this in the future to see.

Yes CVS will. The CSR may be a different story.

stupidzbu May 24, 2015 12:32 pm

All the CVSs around me are cash only for everything, no way around it.

I'm surprised people can still MS with CVS ... all the drug stores around me are like that though

chrisremo May 24, 2015 12:52 pm

CVS is my most reliable option near me. I've never been turned down trying to pay for VGC with credit; they just scan my driver's license each time. It's kind of unnerving, but so it goes.
