Did anyone get the dreaded "Activation in 24 Hours" message on their receipt this evening. My wife purchased them, its happened to me before and I called to get it fixed. But for some reason all of their phones are down, I've called all the numbers (OneVanilla, My Vanilla, Vanilla Visa Gift Cards, Vanilla Reload) and they all are down. You can't even check the balance of the gift cards.
Is anyone else having this problem??? |
Oh fudge.. Should have looked here before going crazy ;) Same issue OV phone and online down.
I bought three OVs yesterday. Used two right away and was fine. Tried to use last one at store and got "not approved" mid transaction while using another brand debit and this last OV. Was a pain holding up the line, running over to in-store bank couple steps aways and getting cash to finish up. Luckily the two people behind me seemed jovial. |
Yes, mjcohen, I am having the same problem as well! I purchased the card this evening, the card doesn't work, tried calling customer support, but no ring. I stumbled upon this forum trying to find a solution.

all you have to do is wait the 24 hours. It's a no brainer. It's happened to me in upstate NY. But not all the time. When I buy them I am on my way to work, so I don't cash out the same day anyway. How much time is wasted with all these phone calls and the stress levels must be really high. And sometimes I don't cash out OV for a whole 5 days!! Also try MS in ice and snowstorms... that's stress. especially losing about 8 days of MS when you cant go out.

Incomm is based in Atlanta so I believe they got scared of an inch of snow and cleared out. Leaving no message or support. I also have the 24 hours until activation issue with my Vanilla Visas purchased at CVS. Hopeful the inch of snow will melt and tomorrow they will be back doing their jobs.:p

Same issue here. Purchased OV at CVS, one was activated immediately. The other one got the 24 hr notice and I can't check online, their phone lines keep disconnecting

I got through to someone on the phone for Vanilla, they said yes the systems have been down since yesterday and they cannot service the accounts or answer any questions until they are back up. Their IT team is working on fixing the issue, but they don't have any information about when it will be fixed. So basically, just sit on it for a while now.

I haven't had a chance to call INCOMM about the issue. But what is odd that 2 out of 4 of the cards were activated in the middle of the night last night. Other 2 still haven't been activated. I'll give it til the weekend to work itself out or I will call them and hopefully their systems will be up and running.

One vanilla visa problem!
Hello, I recently bought a vanilla visa from wallgreens and I can't login with it the website would always say couldnt find details or internal error. What should I do? Go to wallgreens or just call incomm?

I went to cvs and tried to get a
VCC. They said they had to be recalled and they needed to take them off shelves. Any idea what's going on? |

I tried to buy some OV today at 2 different stores with no success...when they scan the DL, register goes into soul searching or something...so that rumor (OV being discontinued) maybe true after all....hope its just a glitch...
