Not really. It doesn't affect me that much -- most of my MS is GCs.

I don't see this as an absolute certainty -- too many variables.

I bet he's getting quite a kick out of his 15 minutes of fame all over these fora and blogs and he's probably having quite a chuckle watching us all talk about him, research him and speculate about him. Kind of like googling yourself.

Or he's fuming that his memo was leaked to the public.

Just out of curiosity, how did you get the Old Amex Blue Cash just a couple of weeks ago? I thought it was dead for quite a while. Please advise b/c I'm still very interested in this card.

Can't speak for him... but I as well just got Amex BC a couple weeks ago ($6,500 trigger, 5% groc, gas, and drug stores). I just called Amex and asked for it specifically.

Just like it's possible that MH 370 landed safely in a remote landing strip in Myanmar ;).

Only problem with Blue Cash is that it won't help you get a business class seat for free as easily as Chase Sapphire Preferred and other airline affinity cards will.

Doesn't mean too much as the evidence is overwhelming, but the store manager in northern DFW says he hasn't gotten that email - and he went back to his office to go check (we have that kind of a relationship) and hasn't gotten it. Doesn't mean he won't, hasn't or didn't want to say, but I'm holding out hope since it hasn't been confirmed in DFW yet..

Confirmed dead from 3/31. Store manager showed me this memo in a FL store today.

Not even remotely comparable.

OP is talking about above the memo where it says "To: // CC: "

Emails are generally sent BCC to the employee list serve to everyone in the title category (this is why To/CC is blank)

Also cvs has a 401 area code, no special corporate area code.

I have a couple Chase cards. I acquired the Amex BC card to help another household member establish credit by being an authorized user with her own card number, while solidly covering the grocery category all year round. The VR's were just a convenient plus.

I was just going to say - I wonder if he has logged into LinkedIn today and seen the "Your profile has been viewed by xx people in the last day"

This, however, will be irrelevant once the POS are hard-coded.

If we all set up a paypal account and give him 1 percent of our AMEX Blue cash back profits, I bet he will change his mind.

But seriously, the reference to $20-$500 worries me. The bread and butter for those of us with only one Bluebird and no MyVanilla are the OneVanilla and Vanilla Visa Gift Card that are loaded at the register for $500 with a $4.95 charge. I can't tell from the memo if those are going to cash only.
