What we know so far, that we are happy to share, and won't get the hump when other people ask us or other people get the hump cos we know something they don't.

3V / Pay.com cards are no more

That is all.

I'm pretty certain that flood was referring to the Visa gift cards which charge a fee rather than the 3V cards.

Correct. These are the Visa GC's with a fee.

I don't think you are able to do this. I had a large balance on my BT account when my linesaver renewal came up but the website/form is only setup to allow a single payment of the £117ish by debit card. I tried to call and explain this the call centre in India completely failed to understand what I wanted to do so I had to give up.

Thanks for this. In the end I paid by normal debit card. I have a second line rental saver due in a few weeks (my own rather than a family members) and I was going to try that with V3 - I won't waste my time now!

Do you mean it's not on the card itself?

Yes, the 6 digit pin is on the scratch panel on the back. The only thing you could be missing is the receipt from the till which says your 3V card is not activated - there is no pin or any other information on the receipt which you need to activate the card, but clearly if it isn't activated then you can't go through the process on the 3v website to make the card work.

Thanks to both rembrandtuk and Karfa for your responses...

A noobie mistake, of course it was on the card... i just didn't bother looking there - i assumed the PIN would be on the activation receipt..

thanks for your responses - just tried to pay off part of HHonors card, with the 3v card... didnt work - so now for plans b-z...

thx
SF

Working OK for me. Make sure your 3V account post code matches the post code associated with your Oyster.
