Do NOT let Rite-Aid scan the GoBank barcode. You will be charged, but your funds won't load. It is a PIA to get your funds back.
Want to stay active? Be sure to only load when your balance is at or close to 0. Continuing to load when you have funds in there seems to be a no no. Swipes are recommended, but there are folks active that don't swipe.
Lots of $200 loads can get you shutdown. GoBank does not like paying load fees on low denomination loads. Two $500 loads is better than five $200 loads.
Shut down reports:
Please list your load/spend/billpay details (in a single statement/lifetime?) e.g.,
type of load, number of loads, denomination of your gc or mp, amount of your billpay, any actual swipe/dd?

rodsren (closed)- the dapperdon warned me. I was closed today after less than 5,500 or loaaing in less than 3 weeks (was going to try to keep it to 7,500 - 10,000 but didn't luck out.)
binnycode (closed, re-opened) - 7x $200 loads + 1x $700 load + 3x $500 over 2 days got me shut down. Called CSR and they re-opened my account, letting me know that "direct deposit would reduce my number of trips to walmart" lol!

Been using this for 4 months, putting 2/2.5k each month and cashing out via billpay... no problems so far!

Even though there were reports of shutdowns for under $2k, maybe that is the new limit.

I was shutdown a lot faster than I expected with my "small loads".
Month 1 $1000 AP deposited. Month 2 - Two Square Cash loads ($540 and $940), and 1 Walmart reload ($430).
Just ACH Pulls for 2 separate payments to cash out. And done. There's no use arguing to open the account back up, right?

I think the issue with this card is that it is promoted as a competitor to BB (bank account for the unbanked) but in fact they only want you to use it as a prepaid credit card so they get lots of swipe fees.

You can try, but I don't think there have been any reports of success with this.

Shutdown finally. Had the card since May. Did 5-6k per month only loading 500 dollars max per day and immediate bill pay out. I did probably about 10 total swipes. I will agree with the others who've said to hit this hard until you get shutdown.

I found out when I tried to sign-in onto the app and it says "your account has been closed...Please call our Member Care to access your account..."
When I sign on my laptop it just says "Please call our Member Care team at (888) 280-8260 to access your account."
I never got an email or anything else.
Is my account really closed? I'm confused now...

My account is still open since June and I've been loading about 5-6k per month. I'm sure they will get around to closing my account eventually.

Did they email/call you or any type of notification?
