Do NOT let Rite-Aid scan the GoBank barcode. You will be charged, but your funds won't load. It is a PIA to get your funds back.
Want to stay active? Be sure to only load when your balance is at or close to 0. Continuing to load when you have funds in there seems to be a no no. Swipes are recommended, but there are folks active that don't swipe.
Lots of $200 loads can get you shutdown. GoBank does not like paying load fees on low denomination loads. Two $500 loads is better than five $200 loads.
Shut down reports:
Please list your load/spend/billpay details (in a single statement/lifetime?) e.g.,
type of load, number of loads, denomination of your gc or mp, amount of your billpay, any actual swipe/dd?

binnycode (closed, re-opened) - 7x $200 loads + 1x $700 load + 3x $500 over 2 days got me shut down. Called CSR and they re-opened my account, letting me know that "direct deposit would reduce my number of trips to walmart" lol!

Typically, 3x$500 every Sat, bill-pay $1500 out on Sunday (usually in 1 payment.)
Lately, I've been cutting down to bill-pay $3000 every other week, which may be a factor in getting flagged (loading with money already in the account.) I'll go back to my previous behavior, with a coffee purchase or 2 per week thrown in, I suppose.

Does anyone get the problem when paying a bill online recently? After I clicked the "CONFIRM" button, a small message saying "We apologize, but we're currently experiencing technical difficulties" appeared.
I can still buy goods, load via Walmart ATM, jut unable to billpay.
I contacted Gobank but they just suggested me to send a screenshot, using laptop (I did) and clear all cache, cookie stuffs. Anyone has idea?

the workaround to this billpay error is to just move the date to pay out a few days from the default. The billpay will take if you do this.

I purchased a Green Dot gold card and registered it last week. Upon activating the personalized card I was informed "Based on a review of your account activity, a decision has been made to close your account."
I have no account activity other than the initial purchase. Any precedent for this?

Why do people bother with this card? It seems like so much of a hassle.

After logging in to gobank.com click deposit>deposit cash>enter money pak pin. This looks like it only works for the first load which is fine by me cause once I have my card I will be loading with gift cards at walmart for no fee.
I did get my initial load fee credited

ONLINE PMT-CHASE
-$750.00
05/24 FRI

I put 6K each month(about 1k to 1.5k each time) for the past 12 months and never got any warning. I never purchased anything and kept about 3k to 4k balance half of the time - I always forgot to billpay after I deposit the VGCs. I think I am still alive because I paid 6 buck per month. To me, 6 buck is cost less than 1 $500 VGC worth.

So far the only information that has been provided about why the card was disabled is "unusual activation activity." They claimed an explanation of what was unusual would be exposing a trade secret company policy.
