That's odd. It always works for me at BoA. I did this about 8-9 times for the last 3 months.

So I just tried today at my bank (WF) and i got a declined also. Have been able to do multiple deposits and have done the same max amount every time for a full month. I called MVD, they said everything was fine. Called WF, they said everything was fine. Same procedure as always, i give them the card and my driver's license...I will try again tomorrow at see what happens. Very strange.

Almost always user error, as in you thought you loaded 500 but it was 496.05 or similar....

I'm looking around for ways to fund my MVD besides VR cards at CVS.

Today I tried two Family Dollar locations. Last time I was in was with Bluebird and the register would not recognize Bluebird. The register did recognize MVD just fine but was coded to not accept credit cards. Attempted both Visa and Mastercard. It was the same at both stores I visited.

Dollar General is my next attempt.

I've had the same experienced with Family Dollar in NC, DC, and VA.

My 2 most recent purchases had zero fees attached... Unless they are going to attach it to them a week + later...

Interesting... I just tried to do a CA at my local Chase for $1400 (like I've done many times) and it didn't go through. I asked them to run it again for $1000 and it went through no problem. Not sure if it was user(teller) error or what.

ughhh, i hate myself for not ordering the BB card sooner. I waited for like 2-3 weeks for no good reason (thinking I wouldn't need it), I ended up loading 2 VR to my MVD today. UGHH

I received a cash advance from my MVD (permanent) card last Friday. Currently, I have a negative balance, as the pending transaction never fell off my account even though the same transaction also appears as completed.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? It seems unusual that the transaction is still pending almost a week later.

Yes! Call and they will remove it for you! No problem.

If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

AKA, if you can't float the cash, don't play the game.

Best to wait it out a bit. Calling just raises red flags. You should really make a point to only play these games with money that isn't needed elsewhere soon.

The problem was that I entered pins for all cards and I was reassured that cards wasn't charged. It looks that that wasn't the case, since MVD rejected my second transaction (I used all funds from MVD for the first transaction that was cancelled), while WF didn't. When I came home, I noticed the charge from WM on my MVD card and no credit back. I checked WF card and saw a charge from WM and a credit from WM. So, for WM card everything is OK.

So, should I contact MVD about not getting back my money or I have to wait and pray that it would happen automatically? I'm not quite patient since the missing amount is substantial - $1K.

Am I missing something? I don't see anywhere in the OP's post where they say they can't 'float' the money. Only that it is substantial ($1K).

Anyone with this amount of money would be a little nervous, and no one wants their money tied up indef.

I do agree that one should not use funds they cannot float for a while in case of errors (which are inevitable).

I took the OP's post as merely a datapoint and a simple question of advice.

I'm not sure about MVD. But, I did have an issue with a Vanilla GC at a CVS just a bit ago. It takes 7-8 days for the money to be credited back onto a Vanilla GC.

Apparently some of our wealthier members take it as an affront if you don't like your money disappearing.
