I had that happen to me with at least 3 CC's. So, I tried a charge of $500 on them and it worked. I would assume you have the amount problem and I would either buy two cards with two different cards, or ask the clerk to make two transactions out of the one card you want to use cards. Hawaiian Bank and Starwood also want to see smaller transactions - one card per transaction. For me the problem is starting to become one of finding a CVS that will sell it me with a CC, as most of them in my area have gone to a cash requirement for the VR.

PS Isn't the X3 miles deal on Citi limited to a bonus of 2500 miles? Three VR purchases with a Citi card will put you over the limit.

OK, enough of the name calling and attempted intimidation. FT is all about sharing information. If you choose not to share that is fine. But don't try to control other people's posting choices.

Plus you risk having thousands of dollars tied up in these accounts, if you can't float the funds for a few months you are just asking for trouble.

This quote says it all. Never put more or spend more than you can afford to float, I have been floating some bad VRs for a couple weeks now trying to get INCOMMs assistance.

Paypal refill cards bought w/CC?

While buying my VR's to hit my minimum spend I've noticed the Paypal Cards. I couldn't see any T&C's on the back about if they accept CC for purchase. Any experience from the group? That would speed up my minimum spend w/another avenue...Thanks!;)

It will speed up closure of your Paypal account(s) even more ..

The cards are meant to fund the Paypal account. I assume you're indicating the quick funding & quick withdrawal of funds is what will cause issues. What's the guidline on amount of time they want funds in the account? Also, do retailers (CVS) accept CC's for Paypal card?

There is no magic guideline, Paypal is not going to tell you if you load 500 in your account we expect it there 1 week and 2 hours before you can unload half. Common sense is needed. Also this is off topic: Everything you asked is discussed in the actual thread below.

This is kinda strange, but I just paid the second installment of my property taxes with a permanent MVD card last week. The transactions have moved from "pending" to posted, and I didn't get charged the PIN transaction fee.

I guess the smart thing to do would be to move my funds off with a MO and save my $1 ;)

so it seems like most of these thread is about the PP cash card.

I had a question about using paypal the old fashioned way.
I need to meet a spend as soon as possible.

Can I just send my brother 3k as "money owed"?
I'm ok with paying the fee.
My sending limit is listed as "lifted"

Is it a bad idea to do it this way?

If you're willing to pay the fee, I think PayPal would be happy to take it.

Agreed Paypal Happy to Take your Money. As long as they cant connect your brother and yourself to each other for money laundering reasons

That being said, all this information is in the thread below, give er a read.
