I like the trend of residences/villas being added to the luxury resorts.

not a new trend - sales help cover development/operations.

its interesting how property decides whether to have rental program or not.

with seychelles i could have said 7 owners enter rental program.

FS St Petersburg

http://www.fourseasons.com/stpetersburg/

Was at Shanghai last week and saw the 21st century tower which will open as FS Pudong .

I know i'm just speculating ( since it isnt even open yet ) but i think location wise RC has beaten FS already.

FS Pudong looks like a dwarf among those enormous towers and on top of all that the hotel will be in the center spanning 11 floors with residences on top.

Why can't they getter better deals in Shanghai ??????

I want to feel happy about this, but I am also worried about dilution of the brand, particularly in Asia. There is no way some of these places will be able to support first-rate properties.

That is pretty cool to hear. Is this just a wish list at this point, or do they actually have some agreements in place for some of these projects?

Also, on a different front, is the Barbados project still on?

Off-topic as well, FS introducing 15-minute room service option:

My dates are confirmed. I will be in St-Petersburg for the week-end starting April 27th to May 1st. I tried to reach FS to know if the hotel will be open or not but no reply so far.

I don't want to stay at W or Grand Hotel de l'Europe but they seem to be the only interesting choices right now.

German billionaires who love golf and collecting art. They took over management of the Terre Blanche golf facility end 2010 and invested millions in the new driving range, but managed to ruin the restaurant. Judging by that, they will ruin the rest now.
