A bit more difficult I think, as the Kardashians had multiple accommodations in various hotels. They had suites at both the aforementioned l'hôtel de Pourtalès, as well as FS George V. From what I gather, most of her entourage was at Pourtalès, while her family was at FS.

L'hôtel de Pourtalès is sold exclusively through certain travel agencies and institutions. Several units with hotel-style services, most of the time it is a buy-out to larger parties. Advertising is very discreet, almost non-existent.

Le Ritz was not involved at all.

Ha!

On a different note, I do think this could have happened anywhere. Ironic though that social media is not only the source of her wealth, but also one of her biggest threats. With Snapchat and Instagram Stories, information on her whereabouts are available almost in real-time. And for most Parisian hotels these 'celebrities' are always a double-edged sword, as security has to be tight while other guests and their stays should not be impacted... (which, sadly, has been the case in the past).

Looking through those links, Pourtales looks incredibly bland.

hmm. qatar may have been involved with owner prior to allard. when allard bought in 2007 and held majority, qatar may have held minority, before acquiring majority in 2012 from allard.

At the moment I think about a trip next year. It´s FS vs Ritz at the moment. Ritz has far better amenities and brand new rooms, FS seems to have unique floral decorations and nice restaurants. Hard decision....

For me that's an easy choice. FS GV without a shred of doubt. I have zero interest in the Ritz.

I'm just home from being in Paris for fashion week. Does anyone have an update on when the Crillon is reopening? For me, it would have to be the best located hotel in all of Paris.

I'm really looking forward to it as well. I really hope that the Renovation will make even the rooms and Junior Suites more user friendly and comfortable, and am confident that Rosewood will see to that.

The beauty of George V is that even starting with Superior rooms, accommodation is comparatively spacious and very comfortable.
