I have to say, I am a bit confused by this. Removing rate cards in order to decrease price transparency I understand (although I don't like it).

But not advertising existing offers on their own site? Do they want to increase bookings through agents/discourage direct bookings?

I was just looking at Amanjena on the Aman site, and thought they were not repeating their usual winter offer this year, until I saw your post. That cannot be their distribution strategy?

aman still has ratecards, any chance removal is 'temporary' as new owner/sales adjust?

i know there are some photos they did not upload until new site
may be similar for some other things, not uploaded/updated yet
cant imagine new site wont evolve and see more (?) added to it
although agree remains to be seen what happens with Exclusives

Not sure if this has been posted before , but many will be pleased that Amanpuri ' s new hotel manager is Harish from Amanbagh .
As some of you know , he successfully sorted out the strike issues & set the team there on a strong foundation .

Vladimir Doronin suffers setback in luxe hotel battle

Russian oligarch Vladimir Doronin, billionaire ex of Naomi Campbell, suffered a blow in his legal battle over luxury hotel chain Amanresorts after a London judge threatened to have him jailed or fined, or have his assets seized, if he disobeys a new order.

Doronin, who claims he’s the owner of the ultraluxe Aman hotel business, which includes the Amanyara in Turks and Caicos and Thailand’s Amanpuri Resort, has been in a court struggle with his former business partner, New York-based Omar Amanat.

Amanat and Amanresorts founder Adrian Zecha joined with Doronin to buy the hotel chain for $358 million in 2014. But Doronin and Amanat’s relationship soon deteriorated into wild allegations and a legal battle involving an army of lawyers in London’s High Court. Zecha was allegedly forced out.
On Aug. 11, Doronin proclaimed his Pontwelly Holding Company Ltd. “has taken full ownership of the Aman hotel business” and that Amanat had “no further involvement with Aman.”

A rep for Doronin said, “We are aware of the court’s judgment [only] on the specific issue of there being no proactive comments on the ownership of Aman and we await the final hearing later on this year. Mr. Doronin looks forward to when this matter is finally resolved in his favor.”
