Does anyone know when the new monthly offers post (or if there are December offers at all). I am due to go to sydney in a few weeks time and was looking to see what offers they have but the website still appears to be November offers.

Should be today they appear.

The offers are there now, although the link on the special offers page for the newsletter is still to November's one.

If you click through & then change the "Nov" part of the newsletter web address to "Dec" you will see it.

Sydney offer for December is for 25% off & keep your cert.

There do appear to be some decent savings at the IC Shanghai Pudong.
Both the 10% off Best Flexible and Advance purchase are available & seem to offer a 20% discount!

I tried Nov 25-27 as a sample date & found 948 yuan instead of 1185 for the advance purchase & 1264 instead of 1580 for the best flexible.

The PP program in China-PRC (of which I am a member) lists as one of its benefits 20% off of AP/Best Flex rates within China.

So either they haven't implemented the appropriate segregation of this feature to China-PRC PP members only, or it's a hidden benefit to all A/Pac PP members.

As an Australian program member, on Sunday I was able to book a room at the IC Pudong for late January using the PP Member Flex rate which appears to be about the same as the normal Advance Purchase, prepaid rates, albeit I did not have to prepay. This also worked at the IC Bangkok, though this property did not show on the initial drop down menu on the PP booking site. I used this to check out the rates for the one property listed, then clicked on "start over" link at the top of the rates page and was taken to the normal ICH booking page, but when I queried properties for Bangkok, they all came up offering a PP Flex rate in addition to the normal range.

May be a glitch in the system, but the confirmation clearly sows "PP Member Flex" as the rate. And here too, the rate was about the same as the Advance Purchase rate, but without the prepay requirement.

Some nice summer deals, but unfortunately I won't get back down to Australia until March or April so see what's offered in the fall.

I recall an error message to that effect that may have been caused by a failed validation of the telephone number. But I can't now recall what syntax the system ultimately allowed. Maybe just the base phone number, without any country or area codes, or spaces.

Otherwise make the phone call and ask them to set you up manually.

Thanks for that tip, I tried two more times but still didn't work with different combination of phone numbers.

Enrolled over the phone :)

I ha the same thought and tried this approach at the weekend to look for Singapore rates in Feb for my husband. It gave the 10% discount but under cancellation said a full deposit would be taken on booking so i didnt complte. this despite it being the 'flexible' rate. actually i then looked at just the best flex rate straight off and the same thing happened..

i've booked for Xmas at newcastle using 2 for 1, booked weeks ago before this newsletter came out. will i still be able to do the 'no certificate needed' or will i need to contact the hotel again?

I am due to have a long holiday in Australia. The PP program seems very tempting and I am goin' to purchase the membership in Australia. But does any one get an answer whether or not I would enjoy the accommodation and dining benefits and the special offers in others countries except for Australia, New Zealand and Fiji?

qf_1020 Dec 5, 2009 5:12 am

The other countries where there are benefits are listed on the webstire, along with all the hotels in the relevant countries. From memory it is China/Hong Kong, Thailaind (limited benefit) and The Phillipines.

To be safe I'd make contact. It may be they can just change the promo code on the booking, but if they stick to the letter of the law you may need to cancel and rebook.
