Got my kit in the mail last week, and signed on yesterday to activate the account. Note that they do sign you up with a new PC account number (that appears on the back of the PP card). I have emailed to have my long standing PC account attached to their master file and this new account cancelled. All certs have a 12-mont validity, though there is some weird wording about having to contact PP in advance of using the meal discount ones. Anyone know that this is about?

Never heard back about reducing my sign-up fee to the Little Nomads pricing after sending them the details, and don't have my latest CC bill to see how it was charged on my card. Either way, the cost will be recouped by my second night at the IC Melbourne and using the $50 credit cert (if I choose to use it for a dinner at the hotel, or have to pay for breakfasts by not getting an upgrade to the Club level). But I do expect to be back in the region within the coming 12-months, as well as in some of the countries that are associates in the program, so will still represent good value even at the full price.

Are you referring to the transferable meal discounts (as a member you just use your card)? I have thought it just a way of getting details of the person your giving it to for marketing purposes :)

(I don't have the cert with me to look up exactly what it says)

Yes, the member for a day certs now require activation, no doubt giving the chance for some telemarketing to occur!

Yup, these are for "sampling" the benefits. Guess that's why, so ICH can follow up and try to sell a membership.

Fantastic!
You can combine them and sign up for NZD217!

I first when to the Little Nomads discount link.
Then I went to "Hotels" and clicked on a New Zealand hotel.
Then I was able to see a sign up link for NZD217.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to get beyond that step :td: Initially I had difficulty validating the syntax in the phone number boxes, but once I figured that out I just got stuck. "Your transaction has not been processed due to an unknown error" or some such message. I rang the call centre to see if they could sign me up for the Little Nomads discount on the NZ$ rate via the phone, but apparently not - it has to be done online.

Any updated lists of hotels in Hong Kong and China that gives Priority Privilege discounts and accepts PP BOGO?

I don't know if this has recently changed again, but I can now see every category of room to book using the PP BOGO link - I had a three night stay but have switched my last night to the Hyatt after winning a free night there, and thought I would spend the saving on upgrading my room at the IC for the first two nights, using the BOGO.

I now have a King Harbour Executive Suite booked (couldn't justify the extra $130 a night for Club access while on my own), but the rates go right up to Club State Suite. I will only be Amb rather than RA by the time of the stay, so may try emailing them to see whether they could offer early check-in instead of any other Ambassador benefits (upgrade, late check out, etc.)

I used a BOGO over easter at SYD IC. It was a fight to get them to agree, but I booked a club floor room. They didn't upgrade us to a suite, did eventually give us a harbour view room, but we were mostly ignored by them. Severall promises they made to change/call back were not done. I realised that they have stand in the bath showers there. Not what I expect from an IC, and past stays at IC SYD were all in suites with separate showers.

We had a good weekend and the lounge staff were good, so I didn't persue it, but did write my feedback to the hotel. No reply.

Yep, its showing that for me as well, this must be new as only a few weeks ago I couldn't get it to show a club room.

Where is $50 credit cer ?

I checked PPP homepage and found that they don't offer $50 credit cer anymore.

Also, Malasia is not linked anymore. Can we use PPP card in Malyasia ?

Great timing, for me at least! Latest newsletter is offering some great offers for August, and times perfectly for my trip to SYD at the end of the month. Most properties now no longer require the BOGO cert for a two night stay and most ICs seem to offer a 50% discount on lunch. Should be in your email box today.

The addition of the monthly specials in the last year have really added a lot of value to the program, becuase of this I have had 8 free nights in the past 12 months when I should have only got two from the certs. And PP have responded to criticism that the specials were coming out too late in the month as well, its nice to see some enhancements to a loyalty program that are true enhancements.

I just tried and hit the same issue. It wouldn't let me put in any card validation number.

Anyone actually manage to make this work? It would come out at around $170, well worth it!
