Can I get point/mile or qualified night/stay, if I stay at participating CP using those certificate such as 25% off, buy 1 stay 2 or just 10% discount ?
I could't find info regarding this on PP site. Regards |
I believe these discounts are all PC point eligible.
|
Yes they are, and I have it in writing from PP. However, you may find that you have to argue your case with PC.
|
Shareholder,perthite, thank you very much.
I'll buy PP. |
Also worth pointing out that you should receive a $100 dinner voucher if you renew your membership over the phone.

Indeed - joined for the first time a couple of weeks back (will have quite a few nights in Asia and Oz over next year so thought I'd give it a go) and had to do it over the phone as can't be done with a UK address via the website : guy doing it on the phone told me that by buying it over the phone I pay a little more but i'll get this voucher plus some vouchers/certs. "to give to friends/colleagues".

The Buy One Get vouchers you get two, one for your use, and one that is transferable. Whether the guy on the phone meant anything over and above the normal transferable certificates, I can't say. |
Probably talking about the member for a day vouchers for the dining discounts, which have some value.
If you are using HI's or CPs for business the program is good value IMHO, I usually leave the two BOGOs for IC use however the $100 dining voucher and $50 hotel credit alone go some way to paying back the fee, the 25% off vouchers also help as well however I would say the 10% of any public rate is the big payback item as this includes the advance purchase rates, and I have never had issues with points on a stay either! Most HIs have a kids eat free promo that is not affected by the dining discount offer, so breakfast costs my family $25-30 in total! |

Anyone know what that is all about (not got my pack in the post yet) ? Not an equiv. of the RA Referral I assume ! ;):D My membership kit included: 2 - Buy one, Get one night free certificates; 2 - 25% off best flexible rate certificates; 1 - $50 Hotel certificate; 1 - $100 dining certificate; 1 - Breakfast Buffet for Two certificate; and 2 - Member for a Day (Dining Benefit only) certificiates, plus a membership card. One BOGO certificate and one 25% Off certificate are transferrable and you can give away the Member for a Day certificate to anyone. IME, all stays have received PC points and it was well worth the $ 269.00 AUD paid. ^ mxm135 :) |
Thanks perthite, markis10 and MXM135, great info.

And yes agree with you all that prog. looks of very good value - i'll share my own experiences of the prog. (booking success with the various certs etc, plus whether PC points always received) in due course. |
Just a quick note to add as been going through APAC. The dining discount worked at a couple of places I didn't know if it would or wouldn't:
- the thai restauarant at the HI BKK (near the centre not Silom), usual discount - the chinese restaurant at the IC HK (25% off food and 15% off beverage). |

When did you renew your membership and receive the $100 dining voucher? I have been a PP member for 4 years now and received the $100 dining voucher last year but when I renewed in April this year I was told they were no longer part of the package but they were offering a third BOGO voucher instead for long term members. For those who are interested - You can often get the membership for $242 pa when purchased online - just google Priority Privilege and choose the top option. |
I was really upset with the HI Silom and HI Singapore Parkview as they had no idea what Priority Privilege was. Needless to say, I didn't get any discount with my stays there.

Although I live in Canada, I am a member of the PP for Australia (where I registered and joined back in 2003).
In January 2008, I received a call from Priority Privilege Membership (run by Hotel Marketing Concept (HMC)) and was asked if I wanted to renew my membership for 2008. As I was planning a month-long vacation in New Zealand and Australia for November 2008, I agreed to renew. As part of the renewal, my membership kit included: 2 - Buy one, Get one night free certificates; 2 - 25% off best flexible rate certificates; 1 - $50 Hotel certificate (expires before I can use it in November); 1 - $100 dining certificate; 1 - Breakfast Buffet for Two certificate; 2 - Member for a Day (Dining Benefit only) certificates I was advised that this was the package for members. Received the kit at the end of February 2008. mxm135 :) |
