Please post your Royal Ambassador experiences (Archive Thread 2014)

I thought I start a thread to post Royal Ambassador experiences:

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
- How are the rooms?
- How is the exec. lounge?
- What was good and what was bad?
- Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?

How to post (provieded by UK1 and see also the summarized informatio in the first post)

1. Put the name of the hotel in the title of the post

2. Use the following format by extracting it, ie by using "reply quoting", copying the content into memory, then backing out of "reply quoting" and then pasting the copied content into a new post. I've formatted each line so that you can paste in between them having deleted these opening comments:

Did you receive a welcome gift?

How was the minibar?

Moderators Notice:

I will begin to clean up this thread a little bit.

As a first step, I have moved older posts from November 2004 to December 2006 to a separate thread, which could be found here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/inter...04-2006-a.html
I also deleted a couple of posts by the way which were discussion not up to date anymore, posts with no content, discussions of hotels which are no longer ICs etc.

The reason for this step was simple, the older posts are not as up to date as posts with recent experiences. Nevertheless, some of you will still find the older information useful and therefore it is still there, but has it own thread.

This thread has currently close to 5500 posts and is still big which makes it difficult to load and to moderate. I will therefore clean up the thread further one, which means I will deleted posts with not content (e.g. only smilies, request to add name of hotels, questions with are not up to date anymore, etc) and move older posts to a separate thread. This will be done in the next couple of days.

Yes

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked very good rate Standard King, Upgraded to 1 Bedroom King. Originally upgraded to Executive Room(the 551sq ft room), room wasnt ready for early check in, so the 1 Bedroom was offered.

How are the rooms?
The room is classic and nice, like the setup. The Views on the 14th floor were great, cant ask for better in the city.

How is the exec. Lounge?
Good breakfast and evening selection was decent. Better than last time, not crowded at all.

What was good and what was bad?
Good

Bad
Room not ready, after several emails the day before and IC SFO had called to confirm the day before.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points?Would you return?
Great stay, this property is growing on me.....Value for money was excellent
