What is your IHG Rewards Club status?

Platinum Royal Ambassador

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay ?
Yes

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked cheapest advance rate, and received an Executive Suite

How are the rooms?
More Junior suite than suite by open configuration. Around 80sqm
Large separate dressing area
Desk
Seating area
Very comfortable bed
Large balcony with chairs. View over the Alps
Superb bathroom with bathtub, separate shower and toilets. La Prairie amenities. Great Caviar bath salts

Nespresso machine
Large flat screen television set with very good selection of international channels.
No iPhone dock
Free minibar but with basic selection (no Diet Coke)

Elegant design, even if we might have expected more a warm contemporary chalet atmosphere like the Chalet Cyanela in Megève,

How is the exec. lounge?

The Club lounge "was closed for renovation"
I received instead free breakfast and drinks coupon at the bar

What was good and what was bad?

Good

- Very nice property
- Good breakfast with very efficient and friendly staff (an even more local selection of products and better pastries might be expected though).
- Good restaurant with excellent service
- Great spa and indoor/outdoor pool area
- I experienced some glitches (wifi not working in the room, 45 minutes waiting at lunch time for an entrecôte, confusion with the bar wanting me to pay the Diet Coke despite it was supposed to be free as the club lounge was closed), and was offerred without asking the dinner at the hotel restaurant. Very nice gesture from Guest relation management.
- Free limousine service to Davos Dorf station
- Free Davos public transport card

Bad

- Nothing

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?

Very nice property in the Swiss Alps.
You need a car if you want to visit the region.
