Update in Hyatt BRG policy (April 2019): If your BRG claim is approved, you can choose either 5,000 World of Hyatt points or an additional 20% off the matched rate for your stay (defined as consecutive nights at the same location). Rates available on websites that require membership which is free of charge, or where membership is automatically created as part of the booking, are eligible for BRG claims.

Update in Hyatt BRG policy (July 2017): if your BRG claim is approved, Hyatt will match the comparable lower rate, but will no longer offer a further 20% discount on the matched lower rate. Instead, after your stay on the BRG approved rate, you will receive a US$50 credit (or equivalent amount in the currency of your country of residence) to use on a future stay (completed within 12 months) booked on a Standard Rate, Advance Purchase Rate or Member Rate on Hyatt.com.
Q. How do I receive the $50 credit?
A. About 3-4 days after your BRG stay, Hyatt will email you a unique rate code to apply for your new reservation. You can either click on the link in the mail to book the reservation or manually enter it into the booking at Hyatt.com.
Q. Can I use the code more than once?
A. No. The code is invalid when it has already been attached to a reservation.
Q. Can I use the code to lower a rate like AAA or Double Points?
A. No. The BRG code books into its own unique rate class and can't be used with any other promotional rates.
Q. What happens if I cancel my reservation with the BRG code applied?
A. The code will can be re-used for another reservation. For this reason, DO NOT DELETE THE EMAIL FROM HYATT UNTIL AFTER YOUR STAY.
Q. What happens if a lower base rate appears available after I book the BRG rate?
A. You can cancel the first reservation (assuming there's no penalty) and then rebook using the code for the lower rate.
.................................................. ..........
If you are dissatisfied with the response to your BRG claim, and it was processed by the Hyatt Service Desk in Omaha (9805 Q Street), you can consider filing a consumer complaint (link to online form) with the Nebraska Attorney General's Office (Consumer Protection Division). Note that the online complaint form requires you to fill in a correspondence address in the US (though you can state a preference to receive correspondence by e-mail rather than by post). As reported in Post # 2691, if the AG's Office decides to investigate, it is possible that Hyatt will review your BRG claim again and, in addition, offer points for the inconvenience.
If your BRG claim was processed by the Hyatt Service Desk in Marion (1120 North Carbon Street Suite 70), you can consider filing a consumer complaint (link to online form) with the Illinois Attorney General's Office.

Yes good deal, amoma works well this period, I got another one approved for HK in oct as well also using amoma. My experience with Hyatt BRG for my asian trip is much better than Starwood, W taipei took me 7 mails... but due to their high rate was worth it.
I stayed in the Hotel du Louvre this spring it is a nice alternative though quite basic compared to Park. Just the location is nice and they do try to get u exactly the room and view you request. I heard they are renovating the hotel soon so might be more interesting in the future.

"After researching, I was unable to validate your submission based on the third party website automatically enrolling guests in a membership program during the booking process."
Has anyone had similar experiences with amoma?

On March 11, 2014 Gold Passport Concierge confirmed that free membership sites are NOT excluded from BRG requests as long as you can see the rates without logging in. She has even graciously offered the ability to drop her name if you experience problems with this

That, however, doesn't explain why Amoma is suddenly website non grata.

It seems the same story is being told time and time again. Hyatt is claiming they can't open screenshots, even though everyone is able to see the screenshot before they send it (attach it) to Hyatt. What's more, when you submit your BRG online, you don't (or at least I never do) receive an email confirming receipt of the BRG claim. Hyatt, if you're listening, you need to fix your systems so you can read the screenshots and, also, send an email indicating you've received the BRG claim and are processing it - include a claim # in the email for future reference.

The good news is that you can simply reply to their email with the screenshot and it almost always works. Files arriving via email are magically opened with no issues what so ever.

Hotelsclick is out.
Mr. De Avila, Hotelsclick.com does not confirm booking at the time the reservation is completed. Hotelsclick.com will submit your information to the hotel of your choice and send that information to the hotel to have confirmed. A voucher is then sent to the guest along with an email confirming the booking therefore, Hotelsclick.com is not immediately bookable.

I am in the process of booking a room.
Hyatt.com - HDR King room 113 USD
getaroom - Standard Room, 1 King Bed 24 hour deal: save 25% - 85.17
Any pointers if this would be accepted as a valid BRG ?

And Prestigia is out too. After they declined amoma twice I claimed again using Prestigia that offered a similar rate. This is the answer i just got:
After researching, I was unable to validate your submission based on presitgia.com not being immediately bookable. In their Terms & Conditions it states "Once the booking is made, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the address provided by the customer in the booking form. This confirmation e-mail has to be taken as a voucher. This voucher is proof of booking and should be presented by the customer to the hotel upon arrival. We strongly recommend you to print out a copy of this voucher and keep a copy for your records and a copy with you while travelling."
I never had such issues with Hyatt's BRG. I guess this time they look much closer because the rate on Hyatt is more than double the rate on amoma or prestigia.

It's systematic - Hyatt is pretending to have a best rate guarantee, but in reality, they are tricking their customers.
