Stays Count Double

Only Stays Count Double will get me to stay much at a qualifying (read expensive) Hyatt rate, with around 3 rev stays so far this year.

I am shocked no one has gotten any information on this big announcement...it's awfully close to June!

Waiting for this mythical promotion, I booked my first SPG stay in a long time (cancellable, of course) for this Saturday night.

i haven't even looked at Hyatt properties for the summer bookings (all spg) and this kindness lottery sure didn't do much for me. Don't they (HY) realize that once we (not FT'ers so much) book that its tougher to get people to change. I'll change for the right promo but even in a waffle situation where both sides are about equal and I might have picked a hyatt, i won't change if I've already booked elsewhere. by waiting I think that they are shooting themselves in the foot

Same here, booked the Westin Warsaw instead of the Regency for an upcoming trip.

While I don't want Hyatt to give away the store - which devalues the program for all of us - I'm elite in one other program (Choice) and know that I can get good value by selectively staying in other chains (in this case, SPG). In fact, abusing SPG might be in the best interest of those loyal to Hyatt ... I wouldn't need anything resembling FFN to change my reservation; double stay credit (the only way I would make diamond) or a modest-by-Hyatt-standards per-stay/per-night bonus would each be sufficient to get me to change this current reservation.

I'm wondering, too, although they have all of June to "make good" on the tease. I wonder if the juxtaposition of the The Big Welcome essay judging and the rollout of the June Swoon could be the problem. I mean, while good management would have had the June Swoon all prepared, primped and primed for showtime ahead of the essay wave crashing, perhaps the nature of the run-up to the contest's conclusion (building, building, building) created an "all hands" situation.

Seeing Mr. Zidell's characterization of > 80,000 essays, looks like "tsunami" would have been a better word than "wave".

Hurry up, Hyatt!

I am starting to think 06/01 will not be the start of the summer promo. As top tier in MR, SPG, and Hyatt GP, the promo will either have me staying mostly at Starwood this summer, as I have in May, or split the summer with Hyatt. But, if it is like the MR promo where I need to stay 20 nights to get a mere 25K points (one night in Cat 5 with no blackout dates but a lot of capacity controls), then it might be Starwood all the way! I have been wanting to check out the St. Regis in both San Francisco and the one in Monarch Beach

Nobody told me that I had signed up for that promo and now I've got two babies. I demand compensation!

After the recent communiques re The Big Welcome, I'm even more persuaded that we're going to have to cool our jets until at least 15 June.

Nice, wilma. Thank you. Minimum stay?

Last fall, Cancun was $69/night. IF H1N1 doesn't return, and IF FFN does, and IF one can find another property to hotbed, it would make a very nice investment...

wilma thank you for posting - however, since this is an announced promotion - please continue discussions on this Resort Promo at http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hyatt...us-points.html - and keep this thread for speculation.

Thanks!!!

Hotbed... Is that related to the "Share a bed - get a baby" promotion?
