While I don't want Hyatt to give away the store - which devalues the program for all of us - I'm elite in one other program (Choice) and know that I can get good value by selectively staying in other chains (in this case, SPG). In fact, abusing SPG might be in the best interest of those loyal to Hyatt ... I wouldn't need anything resembling FFN to change my reservation; double stay credit (the only way I would make diamond) or a modest-by-Hyatt-standards per-stay/per-night bonus would each be sufficient to get me to change this current reservation.
