Being a current DIA member, I still sent an e-mail to goldpassport CS requesting for enrollment yesterday. I just got a reply that I am successfully enrolled. I always prefer to receive confirmation by e-mail in case I have problems later.

Csufabel has just as much right to say whatever he/she feels on this board - despite her/his affilliation with the beleaguered Cal State University system! It's refreshing to have a voice of conscience. As a matter of fact, I'm just waiting for the "I cant sign up for the promo I wasn't supposed to get in the first place, WAAHH!!!" thread.
Of course, if Hyatt had only announced their June promo already, we probably wouldn't be bickering now, would we.

I am a male, so you have that. I was employed by a California State University institution, but that was three years after I held Hyatt PLAT status and status on AA and Delta. I had an another handle here on FT but I did not use it enough and forgot the name/password while I lived in Tampa and D/FWfrom 2000-2004.
Ethics are ethics, and I will not gain 6 stays from a code which I was not "entitled" to, however some posters who did not receive it from Hyatt believe that they deserve it.
On another hand, with the other FT thread about leaving a tip if the waitstaff did not acknowledge a special...$3 is nothing. Many of us have read the initial post on OMNI from a man who apparently looks to "get over" on many companies by himself or through relatives. He (and others) attempt to justify unethical issues, and I don't think that FT is a place where we judge of if a purchase is unethical within the TOC of a company, yet others think we can be said judge. FWIW, I do mot come here to make sure my ethical decisions are considered OK here.
Since 2000, I have averaged 8 Starwood stays and 15 Hyatt stays per year, yet I have thought that I was disrespected or hurt if I was not upgraded. I terms of airline miles, I was a DL FO from 2000-2006. After that I was not required to travel as much through the air.
If I have little expectations, then I do, but I do feel that after reading most posts there is a since of entitlement which I never expected.

For this SCDDIAM promotion:
It lasts until 6/30, but my stay is from now until July 11th. Do I need to check out before 6/30 and then check back in? or will the double points just end? Or is it ok as long as I check in before 6/30? I've always wondered what happens in this case...
This is assuming I can get signed up for this promotion!

Did it three days ago thru Platinum Customer Service, and the double credit put me to Diamond. The status was reflected almost immediately on the website.
Thanks for the tips!!

They enrolled me, which was most excellent. All of my remaining paid mid-range to high-end stays for the year will be Hyatt except one more SPG night.
