Park Hyatt Milan REVIEW - MASTER THREAD
1. PH offers complimentary breakfast at La Cupola for Globalist travellers (in lieu of providing a club lounge)
2. Redemption of a club lounge voucher normally grants access to club lounge for breakfast
3. In lieu of club lounge, on redemption of a club lounge voucher, PH would provide complimentary breakfast instead
I thought I would ask here as it's probably a stretch. Seems like the answer is no in any case. So I'll save my stay at the PH for when I get Globalist instead

A Luxurious Milano Sojourn (21 Photos)
Park Hyatt Milano
After the PH Paris and Hotel Martinez we planned to continue our Great Tour of European Hyatts with the PH Milan.
Our Thello from Nice was cancelled so ended up booking plane tickets last minute which meant our arrival changed from being around 6PM to after 1:30AM due to European Summerstorms and flight cancellations.
I had previously contactedthe hotel to ask for a "nice exterior view" following my PH Paris experience.
Check In
Arrived to the hotel and check in was swift. I booked on points and was upgraded to a Deluxe room. Like Paris there was availability for higher room types but the hotel showed to be at 100% within a few days of arrival.
I could not bare an escort to the room at that hour because we had been travelling for 12 hours and I suspect the Night Duty Manager was on his own so he simply checked us in and walked us to the lift.
Room
Walking to the room the interior was quite striking marble. Found ourselves in a Corner room and when I opened the 3 fold window shutters was stunned to have direct views of the Galleria immediately across from us.
The room felt almost cave like of marble, stone and wood, but least had a couch that one could sit on. The bathroom was almost the size of the room which countered the small space.
We looked for cold water and biazzrely the mini bar fridge was in the bathroom glass cupboard under the sink.
Service
The staff are absolutely delightful and very engaging, especially the waiters at breakfast. The male waiter knew our coffee and juice orders and we had a playful exchange with him each day. It was a complete contrast to Paris where staff served you silently.
Again, due to the electronic mini bar I would order an ice bucket via the Hyatt app so we could have cold drinks. It was always in the room before we arrived.
We drove to the MO Lake Como for lunch and the Concierge secured us the middle table on their verandah.
We prebooked all our sighseeing tickets because I didn't see an advantage to using the Concierge (La Scala Guided tour, Armani/Silos, Duomo Guided Tour).
Dining
The F&B, as expected, is great quality, the breakfast venue stunning and the bar was packed on weeknights. One evening they had an Arab DJ playing Arabic pop and when I told him I like his choice or artists he continued to play them while we ordered cocktails.
Location
Located immediately next to the Galleria it’s 1 min from the Duomo, 3 mins to La Scala and walking distance to most other sights. Like the PH Vendôme this means you can do some sights then come back and chill out of the heat then go back out again.
The only downside was that Ubers don’t frequent this area and it takes at least 15 mins to order. It appeared not many vehicles enter the central zone.
Spa
The spa was nice except the jacuzzi was unisex and small - odd given the hotel is frequented by Arabs. The Vichy shower has a heap of settings including music!
Overall
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed this stay, far more than Paris.
The location is impeccable, the staff delightful but make sure to request an exterior facing room to avoid the dreaded courtyard.
But we found the hotel to be very dated and in dire need for refurbishment, perhaps as dire as that of the PH Tokyo. Just like the PH Vendome Paris, all the marble and largely neutral palette of the furnishings left a very bland and boring aftertaste in my mouth. I was completely underwhelmed by this one, even more so than Paris.
The service and F&B here were lovely. And the central covered courtyard section. But that was it. The rest was droll to us. The central location might be important to many, but I’d easily pick the also bit dated FS over this bland nad very tired PH.
While I wasn't as blown away as some others by the Park Hyatt Milan(but still a proper generous elite breakfast)
I do remember a fantastic bowl of pasta that was exceptional and one of the best water pressure experiences in a down pour shower head in my lifetime that I will never forget as long as I live
Life changing and I will unlikely ever experience anything like that again due to water conservation and changes to the way water is restricted flowing through most modern faucets and shower heads
Management shared at the time they were going to change them to something probably less desirable with regard to water pressure
Whoever plumbed this building when it was built made it with the very best thick piping to carry the very best in volume of water
After many thousands of room nights I still yearn only to return to see if the shower is still that good and for a bowl of pasta
