Hopefully things will become better in the second half of the year.
I also had to cancel my planned trip to PH Milan.

We drove to the MO for lunch after picking up a car from Hertz near the main train station. It's a slightly stressful drive with narrow roads, often pulling over for cars to pass, but stunning.

PHM organised a gorgeous table outside for lunch at the MO.

Claudio when there had arranged for us to stay at the Hotel Metropole in the small village of Bellagio which is the only hotel directly on the lake and next to the ferry, we had a fantastic lake front room. The roads are a bit narrow but then it's Europe! I lived on the continent for a few years so was use to the driving. It is a must when in Milan.

Closed until Dec 1 now for more renos...argh.

Any SLH experience w/The Gray or Galleria Vik Milano? Would prefer to be more central vs. the Centric location.

Is there any information on whether it will actually open Dec 1? We intend to travel to Milan sometime around the end of this year or early 2022 and would adjust a bit to stay there.

Dunno, they cancelled my early Sept reno a couple weeks ago, so at least plenty of notice.

Once you know your travel dates, would definitely have a backup plan.

"In an effort to enhance the stay of its guests, Park Hyatt Milano is undergoing a property renovation to upgrade its rooms and suites. The hotel will therefore be temporarily closed until 31 December 2021 included."

The Mandarin Oriental would likely be our backup. Possibly the Four Seasons.

I love this property but it needs a real facelift not like its sister property in Paris which was a dud

The two things I remember about this hotel was the best shower in the world due to incredible strong water pressure (envious)and exceptional pasta from room service.Oh and the bed was comfortable without being to firm.Hopefully they don’t screw any of that up whatever they do

Frankly I doubt they are even changing a single light bulb, let alone renovate the entire hotel. I hear the hotel is for sale, so let's see if and when they reopen...
