My fear now is that the property is going to attempt to charge me for the full price of the suite when I check out. Same exact issue with another cash booking I just used an SUA on.
How long has it been since SUA was applied? That’s how it normally works. You’ll have to wait for them to change the rate back.

My last SUA was for HC Madrid. Upgrade was requested and confirmed Nov 15th with the increased cash cost showing. Updated confirmation email was received on Nov 17th with the corrected (base room) pricing.
Be patient. YMMV

I have a TSU confirmed reservation that was redeemed 3 months ago via MHC and notes made that I can see, however the TSU hasn’t been subtracted for my reservation.

The reservation is coming up next week it’s a points reservation and now the property has no Standard Suites available for our stay dates.

If for some reason the TSU didn’t get confirmed by the hotel what do you do? I mean there’s none available so even if they wanted to correct it now can’t do anything even if I contacted the hotel directly since there’s none available.

Just wondering if there’s a reason the TSU wouldn’t be showing as redeemed as all my other TSU bookings show as redeemed the moment they’re applied.

Because it's a manual process, the team that pulls suite awards doesn't always pull them properly (I've had this happen 2x). Sometimes, they don't pull them at all. However, if your concierge says the hotel is holding the suite (or you see it being held online) then it is being held (or so my concierge claims). So the hotel will likely pull it at arrival. Be sure to save/keep that suite night until after your stay just in case. And be sure to double check (or triple check) by asking your concierge to be sure the suite is being held (I've had mine call the hotel). In both cases I was assured it was being held (even though the award wasn't pulled properly). However, in my examples, I had to cancel the stays before arrival, so can't say what happens at the hotel. But my concierge said the suite would've been there for me.

The problem is my MHC I honestly don’t know what’s going on with them I’ve sent probably 5-6 requests over the last 4 months and every time it takes 3-4 days to get a response and it’s always some other MHC saying they’re “helping out”. So I don’t know if my MHC quit, got fired, is in the hospital or anything in between.

On top of that I had a situation last year where the TSU was actually pulled, I showed up and the suite was not available, no suites were so I was SOL for that stay.

I mean at this point even if some glitch happened where it didn’t get done correctly since they’re quite literally out of inventory nothing can be done they can’t or won’t boot another person who paid for that suite out.

Shouldn't be an issue. Most of my TSUs applied to award stays never end up being pulled.

Even after the stay? That seems odd.

As you say, it's either there or it isn't at this point, so you'll just have to wait and see. But if you see it on the app/website - it'll likely be there and you'll likely get away without having to use a TSU. Let us know what happens.

as for your concierge being out - mine is out a lot. I call the # and ask the new concierge to verify my suite is being held. They put me on hold, call the hotel, come back and say, yes, I just verified it and it is being held. You can do the same on Twitter if you can't call. They too will verify

All that’s shown in the app/website is a small notation in the cancellation terms which is just an edit made by MHC. That in no way shows it was done properly and applied at the hotel, just that MHC added a notation.

I’ve never gotten away from a TSU being redeemed (meaning having a TSU reservation, getting the suite and keeping the TSU).

At this point no sense in calling as I said all the suites are gone so either I have it or I don’t. It would be a bit irking though as it’s a Christmas stay we’ve had booked for a long time, not exactly last minute.

I’ll post back after check in though.

Why don't you contact the property directly to confirm that the suite has been properly blocked for you? That'd give you some peace of mind, and it's a one-minute email to write. I usually do this a few days after applying the TSU in instances where the suite doesn't show up as my actual room type for whatever reason. It's also a good way to say hello and open up a channel of communication for further requests and issues down the road.

It’s a suburban Hyatt Regency I’ve stayed several years and never had any requests. As for reaching out, I mean I’m checking in there in 3 days so at this point it’s too late to do anything anyways so no point in reaching out to me what will be will be.

As a Globalist I was only upgraded to a 2 Queen High Floor (Deluxe, however at this property even Deluxe is a base room as that’s what I booked on points), meanwhile my Guest of Honor staying the same dates was pre-upgraded to a 2 Queen Suite .

I’m wondering though if this is new as I’ve never seen it before. Look on the bottom and it gives me the option to choose which room or suite I want at an additional cost, because I’m a Globalist I’m guessing that’s why they all say + $0. It shows 2 suite types (neither are the Two Queen suite my Guest of Honor got) the rest are standard rooms.

Most hotels have very few suites with 2 beds. Perhaps your guests got the last one and it’s no longer available.

Just checked and they still have some available.

My two main points were -

Why did GoH get a suite upgrade but mine only a room upgrade with what looks like a dozen or more suites still available? This property has 4 standard suite types and multiple in inventory.

Is the option to choose your room or suite during online check in as shown on the bottom a new feature by Hyatt?
