Based on a Google search, "Crown & Anchor Society and Captain’s Club members must visit the M life Rewards desk to receive their tier match."

This is for Mlife hotels casinos and benefits associated with having a higher Mlife card status such as gold such as comp nights or better rates. I don't believe there is any onboard ship casino credit but it's been a long time since I've sailed so that might have changed.
NJTeacher and Airport Coffee like this.

You can only match from Royal to mLife. If you have a cruise coming up you can reach out to Royal 10 days before your trip and they give you some casino play and some other small benefits.

They still do this but you are able to call the mLife customer service line and they will match it. It takes 10 min because they call Royal to confirm that you have status.

The only way that I know of to jump start Royal status is if you cruised as a kid with your family. Until your 18 you automatically get the same status as your parents even if you don't cruise with them. You keep the same number for life so you get that status forever. This is how I got my status. The only other way is to cruise and there are ways in the cruise forums that talk about getting free cruises via gambling on the ship but I don't know the details as I haven't cruised in over a decade.

Descriptions of the suites on hyatt.com are not very consistent. Some indicate their suites as "standard", "premium" or "specialty" suites. TSU are valid for the standard suites and if they are available for sale, you should be able to be apply a TSU as well.
Update: I received the two Suite Upgrade rewards and contacted the globalist line, And unfortunately, there weren't any suites available. I figure so since it's the week of new years.

I have a reservation in October for 3 weeks, and will still have two suite upgrades, so can I use two on that visit to cover 2 of the 3 weeks, and just move to a standard room thereafter for a week? Or should I just trying to rebook 3 separate 7 night bookings back to back to hopefully use 2 suite upgrades and just a standard room during the last week?

3 Back to Back 7 day bookings applying the (2) TSU’s to the first two bookings. If the suite you’re in is available on check in date for the 3rd reservation you’ll get it if you’re a Glob.

That is a tricky question. They will probably split the reservation into a 14 day and 7 day reservation. So you will be confirmed for the first 14 days. While people on FT say reservations are "merged" - I do not believe so, and I do not believe Matt4200 is correct either. Back-to-Back reservations in my view are not "merged". So if you check-in on day 1 for the 21 day stay, after the res has been split, you are technically NOT checked-in for days 15-21.

This is based on my recent experience: I had 3 single day reservations, everyday I was check-out (automatically) and re-checked-in. My stay for day 1 posted to my account as a stay the following day. Which technically really means, I WAS checked-out. I also received a welcome amenity every day (bottle of wine and charcuterie plate) This clearly indicates, that the reservations were not "merged", but dealt with manually by the front desk staff.

I would not rely on the suite for night 15 onwards, but if you are "lucky", the hotel will let you stay in the room. Or for sure, if the suite is available on day 15 (not day 1) and you are a Globalist. This is my view, but could be wrong, too, I must admit. I was never in this situation, but would like to hear genuine experiences.

see my previous post - I believe your statement is incorrect. if reservations are split and consecutive, you are not check-ed in on day 1 for the 3rd reservation until the 3rd reservation actually starts.

Its very much property dependent. Most will actively merge the reservations. Others will leave them separate.

I believe you’re misunderstanding my entire post.

So here it is again -

Day 1 - Check in for 7 Night Reservation in Signature Suite booked using TSU

Day 7 - Go to FD to ensure everything is set to continue your stay uninterrupted. This should already be done ahead of time though by specifically requesting Hyatt Concierge agent to block you into the same Suite type as some properties have multiple standard suite types.

Day 14 - Check Hyatt App to ensure the same suite type is still available for the remaining dates if it is go to “check in” and simply request to stay in the same suite you’re already in.

Ok. I'll try it this way. Thank you! And I'll come back here and post my experience on what actually happened.

Hi, I'm new to Hyatt so sorry for the newbie question. If booking a suite points upgrade online, is the cash portion prepaid at the time of booking or is it paid at the property? This would make a huge difference in my case because I'm looking at the Palacio Duhau in Buenos Aires, and the "black market" (but widely/easily available) exchange rate for the USD in Argentina is double the official rate, so paying at the property effectively means the cash cost is halved. Thanks in advance!

typically not prepaid. Check the rate rules section, it would be mentioned there, e.g.

The last activity in my Hyatt account is a checkout on Jan 16, 2020. This means my points will expire unless I do something by Jan 15, 2022. Is that correct?

It appears the easiest thing would be to transfer 1,000 Chase UR points on Jan 14. Should I transfer sooner to be safe?
