In midst of long term stay with January 1 check out date. Without checking out, would like to stay at different Hyatt property using cat 1-4 cert. Will this jeopardize proper posting of the long term stay?
Just went thru this with Marriott and it was a painful experience to get the long term stay posted. Thanks!

Personally, I'd be nervous about risking it. You can't physically stay in both hotels on the same night, which is required under the program's T&Cs. Although I reckon it's possible to mount a decent case for not being outside the rules, I think your better off sticking to your long stay.

If you are with someone and just want to try the other hotel out, you could reserve the second room in your companion's name. If alone, I might not try it for reasons described by danger.

It’s quick to fix with Hyatt, if you have problems. I’ve done this in past and it’s never been an issue (in that I get points for both stays and EQN for the longer stay). I’m beyond 100 nights so I didn’t keep track of whether I got EQN for the shorter overlapping stays.

In my experience Hyatt are pretty quick to fix this type of thing if your ask is reasonable (ie you’re only looking to get what you’re entitled to under the program terms) and you ask via Twitter.

Prive benefits take care of the first two and better with exception of Mlife status.
Thanks, but it's only one night missing to half cut of status requirements. In tthread about worthness of Explorist there was a hint a permanent match between MGM and Hyatt is possible. If this also the case for Discoverist (and a lower MM-tier) I might think about it...

Hi - I just realised I am 1 night away from retaining Explorist. As it is, my upcoming trip to Norway, means no chance of getting this 1 night there. With some hotels now allowing you to use the app to check in and get your room key that way, would that work to get the last night? Thank you

It is not likely that will work.

Thank you, I had a feeling, But was hopeful there would be a way around it. Just wish I had realised a little bit sooner, but hey, it is what it is

Thanks, I don't mind paying for the additional two adults by having them charge it to the room which would have my card on file. As long as the hotel doesn't care that I left 12 hours earlier and doesn't ask for ID at the breakfast restaurant it should all be good.

Yes there is a permanent match between Hyatt and MLife so you could theoretically bounce between Discoverist and MLife Pearl forever.

Example -

Earn Hyatt Discoverist - Match to MLife Pearl

Pearl Expires now 12/31/22 - On 1/1/23 and before 2/28/23 just rematch status online (very simple).

Then on or after 3/1/23 if you’ve lost your Hyatt Status due to not qualifying then rematch to MLife status

And this can be continued forever under current policies.

To add to this if you have Crown & Anchor status to can match to mLife from that. Royal Caribbean status is lifetime earned. Diamond = mLife Gold This is because of the casino on-board and their partnership with MGM

There is an SLH partner property in Bergen - could you do 1 night there that aligns to your dates?

How do we go about making that status match with Royal?

Someone might have more current info. When I did this way back, It had to be done in person at any MLife desk at an affiliated hotel. In my case I gave my RC status with my Crown & Anchor number. They wanted to see proof through me pulling up my RC account but they might not ask for this. They processed this in a few minutes and gave me the Mlife card associated with my RC status.

Thanks, just so I'm understanding...is this for RC status or just in their casino. I'm seeing different information online that seems like it is just for casino play onboard.
