unfortunately, sometimes just any cert is pulled... this is the only way to circumvent and that's what I always do.

I'll have 48 nights by the time of my stay extending through New Years from Dec 30 - Jan 3. Is there anyway to get the first two nights credited to 2021 so that I reach the 50 night milestone?

Yes, make a 2 night stay between now and 12/30, it’s definitely worth the (2) TSU’s for a $150 (2) night MR.

With a 12/30 check in you don’t even have 2 eligible nights to credit to 2021…
12/30 would be one night possibly eligible to 2021
12/31 would not be eligible to credit to 2021 as the night of 12/31 always credits to the following year
From then on all the rest are automatically the following year.
Guess (2) TSU’s aren’t worth $150 to you…

Actually, they aren't. I don't anticipate too much travel in 2022-23, I've had good luck with being upgraded to a suite without TSUs during down times, and haven't seen an opportunity to use them during busy times. So I'd end up going out of my way to use them, much like going out of my way to spend two nights that definitely will cost a lot more than $150 in Tokyo.
I'll take them if I can, but not worth my trouble to spend my way up to them.

Can someone please help me here as I'm totally confused about what to do? So on August 4th, 2021, I got an email from Chase informing me that I had earned my Cat 1-4 FNC after spending $15k. While on the phone with Chase discussing some account issues, I asked Chase what my total 2021 spend is on my Hyatt card. The rep said roughly $12.5k. Whoa? If true, how did I get the email informing me of the FNC? I have to admit I haven't done a good job keeping track of my spending on the FNCs I have accrued over the years. I don't know for sure if Chase/Hyatt actually issued the FNC for this year to me as I already had FNCs on my account. I know that Chase/Hyatt is moving to calendar-based spending for 2022 and beyond. I got my Chase Hyatt card in 2019. So how do I know for sure I got my FNC for 2021? If not, I still have a week left in the year. Can I make the remaining spending and get the FNC for this year?
Thanks!
Thanks!

How fast for points to be back in account?
1- Assuming the hotel directly by calling them waives the cancellation policy and provides a cancellation # -- How long for the points to be available?
2- Is it more of a shure thing to call Christmas Day the explorer desk and have them call hotel if needed. If I have the Explorer phone line access do you think this can be do Dec 25 for travel on Dec 26 or Dec 27

I believe there's also a one-time opportunity, due to the upcoming conversion, to spend an additional $15k between your anniversary in 2021 and 31 Dec 2021 for a 2nd cert, but since my anniversary is in late December I didn't pay a lot of attention to this...
Would suggest the main WoH Visa thread for further followup (also the info in the wiki): https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hyat...ed-2018-a.html

If they’re resort fees (and not service fees) and you qualify for Globalist before your check in date then you won’t be liable for the resort fees.
