Seems like P+C and also upgrade availability are now showing and can be booked online. Seems if the hotel offers it, you can book it. If hotel doesn't offer, the traditional "Redeem Points" view only shows up. Great news.

tested out the C&P over the same 4-nights I already booked (by phone) the Hyatt Taipei and their system doesn't show even 1 of my pre-booked nights availalable - strange.

have you managed to get C&P rates at any Japanese Hyatt prior to today inasmuch as offering C&P rates are not mandatory ??

Almost all of my Japan stays are P+C. Buying points for P+C is cheaper than the prevailing rates today.

HR Kyoto, HR Tokyo, and Andaz Tokyo all had P+C bookable online for the dates I checked.

Just booked PH Sydney and GH Melbourne with P+C. The weak AUD makes this an even better deal for someone paying in USD as the cash portion was $300 and $125 AUD respectively.

Makes you wonder if Hyatt calculated the exchange rate back when the Aussie dollar was stronger (say 80 cents or so), and then just locked those in for the year. I checked Grand Hyatt Melbourne in May and $A122 on a cash and points rate worked out to $US86 when it should be converting to $US100 using today's rates. It would have to be up at $A142 to be $US100 today.

P&C used but no diamond suite upgrades available
 

I have a P&C reservation booked at the Andaz Amsterdam for in March and right now I'm being told I can't use my Diamond Suite upgrade due to lack of availability for both P&C with the suite upgrade. Have you all encountered this? This is the first time i've ever been denied using an upgrade certificate. @Hyattconcierge says that it's still "pretty far out" and to check back. Think I'd have luck just calling the diamond line?

C+P and points come out of different inventory correct? I for the andaz papagayo I see points availability for one month, and C+P and points for another month.

Yes... mostly when P+C is available I've seen full points availability as well. But a property is free to determine P+C availability.
