Double check to make sure that your that your helpful agent kept your P+C rate, and didn't "upgrade" you to a fully paid rate.
OT: I like your blog btw. |

And sometimes when hyatt send you the confirmation email, they offer the ability to buy up to a higher room category.
Not sure why it is so hit and miss though because I typically get it for US properties but never Asian properties. |

Same here. US, Canada and PH Vienna once but never Asian properties either. Maybe slow to implement the upgrade button?

Somewhat more annoying is that the agent changed the rate from 272 CHF to 305 CHF. Obviously she didn't realise that the rate was originally captured in Swiss francs and so just plunked the amount in as if it were dollars. Not sure whether to query this now or wait until I get to the hotel. |

Well fortunately that didn't happen. But a couple of other errors were made. The confirmation e-mail still says 4 nights and not 5. This is not significant because the correct booking shows up on both the web site and the app. (These confirmation e-mails often have errors in my experience. Are they hand generated?)

Not sure if I agree because the mails are all generated from HQ level based on the e-mail address.

I'm talking about the confirmation page when you book on Hyatt.com.
I've never seen that before, the upgrade options are usually sent via the confirmation e-mail in my experience. |

You'd better query it now. What they probably did was re-book the entire reservation rather than add the extra night, and the exchange rate has changed since your original reservation. Of course, it would be correct for the 5th night to be the current exchange rate.

New to Hyatt
I found out the hard way that C&P can only be booked by calling up, should have 1st checked FT, my bad
My question is, is there any way that one can pull up online which if any hotels is offerring C&P? It may be easy if theres 1 or 2 Hyatts in a given area, so calling up is 1-2-3.But when you check lets say a city in NJ it may show close to 2 dz hotels. What a PITA if one has to call up and have the agent check each one , 1 by 1. Its hard for me to believe that Haytt doesnt show this whatsoever online, after all SPG,HH IHG etc etc do so why doesnt Hyatt, or is there a code 1 needs to use in order for availablity to pop up. BTW its 1 thing that we have to call up to book it, its another that its not possible to see which hotels is offering it other then by calling up and having an agent look at each and every hotel within say a 20 mile radius. |
You know you need to call.... no C+P online. Not even for availability.... probably at some future date.

I can live with having to call up to book but for the life of me I cant understand why they cant have it showing in some way that C&P is available and the type of beds |

Thanks for confirming nothing showing online. Couldnt be more unuser friendly if they tried. When I called up last night the agent had a heart attack when she saw close to 2 dz hotels. After she told me the 1st one had C&P she wanted to book it, I told her I needed to know 'all" the hotels that had it within a 20 mile radius. And then Id have to look at each one to see the pros and cons of each before deciding which to stay at. With the other chains I can do it all by myself in no time Hyatt is a royal; PITA

P+C is a relatively new to Hyatt (less than 20 months), give it some time before they add that wheel and mouse to the IT system.:D

Assuming they can keep the mouse on the wheel - it's supposed to happen later this year.
