Why does an all point stay always equate to no resort fees?

Because it's one of the conditions no fees or taxes are charged, it's meant to be a completely complimentary stay. And no stay credit is earned....

Note - There are SOME hotels that discount resort fees for Diamonds. The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando is one of those. The resort fee is normally $25 but it's $20 for Diamonds.

I think the implication was that OP would be using P+C as a Diamond. Though OP doesn't actually state it.

The rate seems to be corrected now. I wonder if the will honor the reservations I made at the $60 rate. The first one is in Feb.

I'm seeing lots of strange pricing. I was looking at 3 hotels in the Houston area for a stay in late February. All are category 2. One showed a rate of 4000 pts + $35, another was 4000 + $55 and the 3rd was 4000 + $85. I guess I should be happy the points were the same :-) I did book the property with the $85 "co-pay" as it's a new property I wanted to try. I was able to call and get it changed to $55 and the agent on the phone had no explanation for the price differences.

Are we allowed fo book 2 rooms using P+C in one reservation?

I see availability when i put in 2 rooms but when I click to make reservations, it says there is an error and only 1 room cab be booked.

Or should I make 2 different reservations one after the other?

No particular reason, i just thought it might be easier.

They will not cancel if both (different) reservations are under my name and for the same dates right?

They won't cancel them, but they possibly might not extend Diamond benefits to one of the rooms.

The P&C rate is booked as an award, so just as an al-point award, only one room can be booked at a time on Hyatt.com, but there is no problem with booking more than one room in your name.

If you really want them on one reservation for some reason, maybe the Hyatt concierge here on FT can do it for you.

I accidentally made 2 overlapping P+C reservations, and they're both showing up fine on Hyatt's site. So there doesn't seem to be any issue with that.

I just booked a cat 2 for 4k points plus $35. Has anyone completed a stay with one of these bizarre rates?

Done the GH SFO last year, had 2 rooms with P+C and all 4 grown-ups got access to the Club.

Did PH Zurich Dec 31-Jan 3 this year. They have great P+C availability.

Made reservations for the Long Beach Centric hotel. Great value with P+C. 75$ plus 6000 points, vs regular rate of some 439$!

Is there a specific question you have? Not sure if 4k points and 35$ is really worth it, you may be better off paying the full rate and use your points at higher categories.
