We stayed here last weekend. We were allowed an early check-in at 7.30ish am, which I really appreciated (red-eyes flying east are brutal).
Regency Club:
Nothing much to report here. Breakfast was kinda like McDonald's. They did have lox. I thought it was hilarious because one other guest brought a tupperware to pack the fruit. We swung by in the evening to grab drinks. There were sandwiches and a soup - we didn't try. The hostess was friendly.
Rooms:
In the executive wing - it was quite a trek. The room itself was large, but the bathroom was tiny. No complaints there.
Overall:
It was a pleasant stay. Nothing to write home about, but also no complaints.

Anyone know if this $45 rate would be a qualified rate for stay credit, points and promotions(like the Stay More Play More Promotion)? Thank you!

thucanhho is of course correct. Stayed on the 28th and got stay and night credit. It was also my 10th night for the Stay More Play More promo and got the bonus points posted as well.

I know this is going to sound snotty, but this hotel seems to always have a high weirdo quotient (at least the weekends I have ended up here). Also, am I the only one who thinks kids should not be allowed in lounges? I am sitting here right now and there are kids layingon the couch like they are at home.

Don't know what is going this weekend but last weekend was nuts, Anime convention. Like Woodstock, lots of youngsters with very few or no clothes on, eating/ sleeping on the grass and smoking grass too and who knows what else. Really turned me off.

I accidentally experienced that one last year so I can definitely sympathize. There was someone in the elevator on my way back from dinner with fake blood all over their face and torso. Luckily from past experience I decided to make sure to limit myself to one evening. Tomorrow I am schlepping the luggage over to the CTA Blue line and heading Downtown. Hyatt Mag Mile tomorrow night where I was able to get a great rate on the Exec suite I DSUd into last year and Monday night I am taking the brand spanking new LondonHouse for a spin.

Today I saw the craziest thing I had ever seen at any hotel lounge/ club- no kids just 4 adults in the lounge. I left the lounge 1 minute before 2 of the guests, I took the longer route to the executive wing and these people got ahead of me. One of the ladies was dragging an entire clear garbage bag full of stufff, the same large clear garbage bags that housekeeping moves towels around the hotel. She must have had 20 cartons of milk, 20 apple juices... a crazy amount of stuff. She had no shame in dragging a see through bag full of regency club stuff across the entire lobby all the way to her room in the executive wing. It was beyond anything I have ever seen, I have seen people fill up coolers full of soda... this lady had hundreds of items in her garbage bag. I guess the room rates will be going up next week.

Meh stay
Stayed here a few nights ago, applied a DSU, confirmed to Recency Suite. On arrival, we were DOWNGRADED to Plaza Suite, which is entry level suite at this property. Odd L shape with small bedroom, separate living room with dated furniture and a nice big desk. Bathroom was smaller than bathrooms in regular rooms and was located near door to room. Adjoining room was up late watching loud TV show...could hear every word. Bathroom had toothpaste on sink and counter, too, AND housekeeping entered unannounced TWICE between 8:00 am and 10:00 am the next morning. Told front desk at checkout and they offered extra 1000 points as an apology...which, or course, never posted. Usually love this property, but this was not so good.
On the plus side, asked about breakfast in restaurant instead of club at check in and was told no problem. Thought that was a nice gesture, though I do stay at this property about quite a few times a year, which could have something to do with it.
