These menu prices make the Conrad pricing look like chump change. Another tick in the CR box.

Thanks for the menu!
I get that that these prices are inflated but... who would pay this??

Anyone know what the typical price range for an entree is at the Conrad Maldives?

It’s about $20,000-25,000 wholesale, so 3.5x markup actually makes it one of the better deals on the menu, especially given Maldives import costs. Cheap/ mid-range champagnes looks to be where people are really being fleeced.

I had budgeted $2k for 5 nights for Conrad dining and could eat comfortable for both lunch and dinner at places like Ufaa, Sunset Grill, and Ithaa.
Im budgeting 2k at WA for food also and looks like I’m not eating dinner...

I just think that this is yet more evidence that the resort is oriented towards Arab money. There are little things in the menus that I notice from the Middle East - things like juice and smoothie pages being in front of alcoholic drinks in the bar menus.

Considering that all wine only costs around $20 per bottle to produce, they're all super-highly-mega inflated. Ahh.....the luxury of not drinking alcohol. Pure bliss.

The more I read about the WA, the more I'm thinking I'm going to end up doing 8 nights at the Conrad rather than a 5/3 split.
In fact, I may go and lock in my Conrad extension redemption now and cancel whichever one I don't choose to use.

I spent a lot of time looking at the menus. I don't think the food costs at WA are that much outrageously higher than our last trip to CMR. Seems to be a $10 or $15 premium for comparable dishes at the WA vs. CMR. I look forwarding to hearing reports if the quality of the food offsets the premium. Beer prices are comparable, and the selection at WA is much better (tons of craft beer options under $20 at WA if that's your thing - no craft beers at CMR). Pool cocktail menu appears the same price within a couple of dollars between the resorts. Wine at WA is ridiculous - who would pay those prices?
