Yes, this is correct, breakfast is not included with an Expedia stay.

That's incorrect. You only get points and stays credit if you book directly with the hotel. You are still entitled to elite benefits if you book with a third-party site, except opaque bookings (where you don't know the hotel until after you book).

Thank you, but we already have that hotel. If you are posting a correction (is it full breakfast rather than continental?) please be explicit

I posted this above but it may have got lost.
It's already mentioned; I don't tend to put in things like "hot food is of variable quality" because (a) it gets cluttered and (b) it might be a once-off.

I cannot find any reference to Hilton Gateshead-Newcastle in post 1. Maybe it's a FT iPhone app issue ?

Thanks RAPC. I tend to order the hotels by city name and quote their official names as per the Hilton website.

Hilton Colombo

Hilton Colombo gives full "American" breakfast in the lounge or you can take full breakfast in the restuarant. We chose the lounge and it was pretty good with eggs made to order.

But, why do they call it "American breakfast" when there was cold cuts (German), beans and tomatoes (English), and assorted Asian dishes available as well?

Update to Hilton Conquistador in Tucson, AZ:

No longer restricted to pastries (as it was briefly last year, not even bagels or toast!)--now basically the whole "cold" buffet:

orange juice, coffee, milk, hot oatmeal, fresh fruit/whipped cream, bagels, toast, pastries and yogurt basically but you can buy up to hot full buffet for aboout $9 or use against other menu items (each voucher worth 9.68? per guest). This is not as good as it used to be when they first became a Hilton but works for me now.

A very polite reminder to please specify the state (two letter abbreviations are fine) for hotels in the USA, except the most obvious major cities (New York, Boston, Chicago, LA, Miami, and similar). I can look them up but it saves time when updating a stack of posts if you mention the name upfront.

hilton miami airport Fl. : EL closed ?

Hilton Miami Airport Fl. : we have some upcoming stays in a few weeks time and heard rumors about EL being closed and cont. breakfast for HH diamond in restaurant after we prepaid our bookings .
Any updates on this property and if this news about closing EL is correct as they had a nice breakfast in EL ?
