russmeyergirl I hope your flight was on time and comfortable. Did Row 13 recline? We were in row 11 but I didn't pay too much attention to 13. Anyway, assuming at least you had a partial recline, you didn't have to worry about the person behind you being irritated, or kicking you in the back. I would have suggested bringing along a soft seat cushion as being most important in having a comfortable ride on the A330.
Anyway, you and cssaus are both lucky you didn't schedule flight 452 June 9. Don't know the reason, but there was a horrendous delay - approaching 24 hours. Funny thing is, this plane was the newbie - 388 - the plane that was just delivered and sent to New York for the training session. Anyway, HAL's on time departure/arrival record has been excellent, so hopefully this was just a rare occurrence.
BTW, as a result of this aircraft not being available in HNL, LA drew the short straw and got a substitute 767 for flight 2 (and flight 3 on the return today). Flights 4 and 1 have already been permanently designated as 767s now.

Okay, I'm not really sophisticated about figuring out the routes for the new A330s--but we're heading to HNL in early November (2012) from Sacramento (and back). Is there any chance they'll be using the new planes for those routes in that time frame? I'm guessing not....

I'm afraid you're guessing right. The next and last A330 to be delivered this year will enable expansion of Airbus service to San Diego. There are not enough planes yet to cover any other destinations.
Looks like you'll be getting a 767. Still, it's a widebody, so that's not bad.

DW and I are looking forward to our F seats on A330's in January when we fly LAS-HNL-LAS.

Question about F Cabin
I just booked two seats in the F cabin for LAX/HNL on the Hawaiian A330 aircraft and now I am looking at seat assignments. Does anyone who has flown those aircraft know if the aft-most F seats (Row 3) have the standard amount of recline, or are they limited?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Does anyone know if there will be a full bar on HA 3? Its a late morning flight (departs at 10:40AM), and I noticed my itinerary says lunch (flying First). Not to sound like a lush, but a couple of drinks on my way to HNL would be a nice way to start a much needed vacation.
Thanks for the info.

I only sat in Row 3 once and I did kinda feel the recline was a little bit limited compared to Rows 1 and 2.
