Yeah, I wonder. One would imagine that the narrowbody shortage would lead to widebodies applied on shorthaul routes, eg FCO with its two evening departures, instead of standing idle at HEL. But I guess it's more profitable to send two narrowbodies to FCO, leave some potential destinations unserved, and have widebodies idle at HEL.

What's the widebody daytime situation nowadays? We have two A350s coming in in the morning, one of which will fly to LHR and the other, twice a week in winter, to DXB. In summer, there should be one idle A350, right?

The A330 schedule is more confusing, but there are early morning arrivals from BKK, KIX and PKX, though not daily and not round the year, right? And there's a twice-weekly BRU. How much free A330 capacity is there during the day?

Bodø

There will be another summer route. Finnair will start a route to Bodø, Norway near Lofoten. There will be one flight aweek and during the peak season two flights aweek. The flights will be operated by ATRs.

This is for feeding (mainly Asian) pax to Lofoten, not local demand. Still a bit of distance from the airport to the main sights out in the islands, but better than doing it through TOS.

BCN 3-4 daily in the summer

Finnair.com is showing increase for BCN at least for summer:

HEL-BCN
07:05-10:05
17:00-20:00
22:30-01:30+1

BCN-HEL
02:15-07:05
11:00-15:50
11:05-16:00
21:25-02:15+1

Something is off, since it’s 3 per day outbound and 4 per day inbound and there is slight variation on the 11ish departures from BCN depending on the day. Also one of the flights is “op by Iberia for Finnair” like MAD.

Finnair.com is now confirming the lease until March 2023 :

"We have leased an Airbus A321 aircraft from our oneworld partner Iberia to cover a temporary shortage of aircraft as our operations continue to grow. The aircraft will be used for flights AY1654/3 (Barcelona) and AY1662/1 (Madrid) until March 30, 2023."

I guess it will just barely correspond with the last morning arrival feeder from Asia. (AY132 from SIN)

Another issue is that returning pax on the evening flight from BOO will need an overnight in HEL to go back home/connect anywhere else since latest departure from HEL is AY143 to BKK.

Could Bodø be some kind of semi-charter destination operated because of some Asian tour operator? It's not very common for AY to open new routes only 4,5 months before inaugural flight and weekly capacity to Bodø is only ~70-140 seats.

Has AY officially cancelled HAJ? I have a booking next June, but can no longer find any flights after March. My booking still showing up as normal in MMB.

The Barents Observer reports that Finnair is going to resume flights to Murmansk with 4 weeklies this summer:
For Murmansk, Russia’s Arctic capital on the Kola Peninsula, Finnair will fly four times a week this summer with first flight on May 9th, SeverPost reports.

Looks like last one is on 28MAR20

So it was not year around destination but almost one year destination.
