I am looking at a SIN-DXB-ORD flight next year and wondering about how far out on the calendar before I could rely on EK website to be correct as to flight options and aircraft type. I realize everything is fluid for the foreseeable horizon, but how far ahead does EK "normally" set route schedules. In normal times, could I assume route and aircraft for a May flight is pretty much locked in by the previous Oct?

Historically the only ac swaps I have seen usually go from 3 to 2 class vv on the same ac type. Looking at the schedule now 388 are still on routes that will never operate with a 388 in say, October. So I think coming oct is too soon to judge what will happen in may

I'm assuming your tongue is firmly planted in your cheek with this remark.

In reality if more of us did that, more of us would be dead, and, as you say - well out of this COVID19 mess!!

Has anyone tried the DXB lounge since it reopened? If so, how was your experience?

Seems EK has added some new rules which could deny boarding for some

Interview with COO Adel Al Redha

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...-emirates-says

EK considering swapping some of the 115 777Xs it has on order -- for smaller 787 Dreamliner

COO expects 60% to 70% of current A380 fleet to be back in the air by December. Load factor now exceeds 55% and demand for both Y and premium travelers has strengthened.

EK plans to keep all 115 of the double-decker jets. Roll out of premium economy on its newest A380 to be delivered in November. Some existing fleet will be retrofitted from Y to premium economy.

Emirates Group undergoing a strategy rethink looking for ways to streamline operations and increase efficiencies.

Just noticed how flights to KWI ex-DXB are priced abnormally high...

Does anyone know if and where EK is flying the 777s with the new F/J seats?

New F is on A6-EQH onwards so you can check on flightradar or similar. Seems pretty random to me. Not so new J is on A-EPV onwards I think.

SQ & TG operate out of T2 - both sent regular A380s into LHR in the pre-covid era.
