There's no particular day as far as I am aware. Just keep checking.

It's a bit hit and miss at the moment... Award availability seems to come and go in big chunks.

Thanks. Will keep checking then. Is it normal that there'd be a bunch of business flex awards but no business saver awards till mid September?

It's not normal, but saver rewards are just starting to appear after the lockdown. Nobody really knows how many flights there will be between now and September, so I guess EK are holding back the savers as they may need to cancel and consolidate flights.

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks for sharing knowledge.

Actually, 1 more question. Do you expect that during this period, saver awards would also be able to be cancelled and refunded?

Yes - reward flights are always cancellable for a small fee.

I apologise. I'm new to this. We have flights to from Vietnam in July so just looking to understand.

Can you advise where this comes from? Is this official from Emirates?

Vietnam remains closed to foreigners until 15th September. EK flights are cancelled for the first 20 days of July by the looks of it - try book them and you'll see they dont exist anymore

That was just a change in coutnries allowed to participate in evisa procedure, completely different from actual reopening of country ;)

ok, thanks for all the input.

Can I ask a general question?

If Emirates cancel my flights to vietnam, how will they do this?

Do they send an email? update the "manage my bookings"? how do they actually advise the customer of the cancellation?

Thanks

You'll get an email at some point. But it's worth checking via MMB also.
