Again, this is inventory - they just scrape GDSs

Unfortunately the underlying message is true: no flights until 1 jul , just had this confirmed.

Well most international borders are closed and time lines for border openings constantly pushed back.

France is speculating about keeping its borders closed till September, Austria wants to open up in July, there are various travel restrictions between the EU states and on top of that also a Schengen travel ban most likely to be extended to mid/end May. And that is only Europe...

Ramadan about to start, so its very unlikely that any top level decisions will be even considered in UAE and Gulf. no matter what... until after Eid. I may be wrong, but thats my opinion based on extensive experience.

Emirates pushes back relaunch to July 1, 2020

Up until recently, Emirates was supposed to resume some flights by mid-May 2020, but that has now been pushed back.

Emirates has now updated their schedule to reflect a July 1, 2020, relaunch date for regular operations

Guys, how true is this?

Cheers

A few days ago, a dummy booking DXB/LHR for the second half of May on the EK website gave a result.
Now I need to go beyond 1July to get a valid response.
Based on that simple test, I would assume the answer is that at this stage resumption is from 1 July.

Sad, but there you have it......

Whilst this is the case for many organisations this one nothing to with ramadan - eid is a very busy time and many people take leave in ramadan and at eid where flights are packed - this is due to the lockdown / public safety.

In todays The National:
“The Dubai airline is monitoring the situation, but can only recommence services after 'government approval', 'the easing of travel restrictions' and 'commercial demand'

I received an email from Emirates today confirming my flight LHR-DXB-BKK for 14 June (return flight is in September). It claims both flights EK002 and EK376 are 777 instead of usual 380. I double checked with EK website and got the same information, including relevant seat changes. What am I to believe? I've not been expecting to travel with all the restrictions in place in any case, but have been holding off rebooking/cancelling until the future is a little clearer.

Since the change in march it would always have been a 77w anyway. But now you wont fly at all in june it seems (despite it still showing confirmed)

A380s wont fly again before October.

Although there's time for it to change, Thailand is still saying repatriation only and two weeks quarantine when you arrive.

After being told by emirates a few weeks ago that they’d cancelled our flights, we’ve now received an email stating that our 15 July return flight from Dubai to Sydney has been changed to the 16th. Nothing mentioned about them reinstating flights or whether our other flights remain cancelled (the outbound flight from Sydney to Ireland was originally scheduled for June).
This is all very confusing, thinking of just sitting it out til June to see what other changes they make. I’d be very surprised if flights were allowed in and out of Australia in June for holiday purposes.

Agree that waiting is the best option for you. There wont be any EK flights before July at all and I agree that it is extremely unlikely that there will be international passenger flights to or from Australia in July either.

It now appears most destinations are bookable from June 1st (where previously flights were only bookable from July 1st)

DUB
LON
SIN

to name a few that i have checked
